Look out your Tools, Small Electrical, Computers, Clothes that need a bit of TLC but have life left in them and take them down to the Village Hall on Saturday 4th of May 1pm to 4pm and the volunteer experts at the Repair cafe can work their magic

Come along to the next pop-up BLACK ISLE REPAIR CAFE which this time will be coming to Muir of Ord in the Village Hall.
What can you REPAIR instead of having to buy new? 🌍 💰 🏡 🛠
A dodgy lamp or flex? 🔪A knife that doesn't cut so well anymore? 🧵 A hem that has started to fray? 🪡 A hole in your favourite jumper - 💻 even a computer that is behaving oddly! 🚲 Plus bike repairs!
TRY US!! "A stitch in time saves nine" - we will do our best to help you and also show you how we do it so you grow in confidence yourself!
ALL WELCOME!! (Even if you don't have a repair) coffees, teas and CAKE! 🧁 ☕️ 🫖 Come along and see what a Repair Café is all about.
All repairs & refreshments are by donation - pay what you can.
Our volunteers offer the following repairs but if you aren't sure, bring it along anyway & one of the skilled volunteers will take a look for you.

Come along for night of great Music at the Village Hall on Saturday night. Organised by Linsey who is taking part in this years Stars in Their Eyes Inverness raising funds for Snap Inverness. Tickets are available from the cafe in the Muir Hub. Saturday the 10th 7.30pm till 11.30pm

Mr Moo 🐮 has been out and about to check this morning and has said the car park at SCY is particularly bad due to the snow last night!

The roads in and around Muir of Ord are not clever either so safety always comes first and Moo will not run today.

Stay cosy…. Waddle like a penguin 🐧 if out and about. X

We were blown away on Saturday with such an amazing turn out to our Christmas Fair, thank you so much to everyone that came along and supported local groups, businesses, charities and crafters. grabbed a cuppa and a chat and visited Santa. What a great way to get the Festive season started.

🎨 All our very talented Crafters and stall holders who had a great variety on offer
🍰 The Muir of Ord Gala for wonderful homebaking and donating the selection boxes
🥰 All the Volunteers who helped on the day and helped to transform Santa's Grotto

Village Hall Christmas fair - Saturday 2nd 11am till 2pm

Our stall holders are crafting up a storm to welcome you with amazing handmade creations. There will be lots of Christmas decorations, gifts, jewelry, candles and more As well as skin care products Tropic and Avon, pick up a present and even something for yourself too

You will also have the opportunity to support local groups with their fundraising by having a go at guessing ELC nurseries amazing Reindeer's birthday, have a go at winning the Muir of Ord men's Shed hamper and try some of the Tarra Gals SWI amazing baking and crafting.

We will also have Santa's Grotto, coffee and tea area, Kids crafting and Facepainting

A wee reminder that the closing date for the Muir of Ord Development Trust Part Time Admin and Project Support Officer is this Friday (1st December) at 12pm More info and link to application pack below

We are delighted to share that we are now recruiting for a Part Time Admin and Project Support officer (One Year Fixed term) to help support the running of the Trust, its venues and activities.

We are looking for a highly organised person with excellent people skills. The role includes -

- Taking bookings and working with customers and venue users,
-Promoting our venues and events through a variety of methods including social media and newsletters
-Booking keeping and invoicing
-Supporting specific projects and activities with the community development manager and volunteers

There are still spaces available for tables at our popular Annual Christmas Fair on Saturday the 2nd of December 11am to 2pm in the Village Hall.
