🪄🍁 Woodland Squirrels Monday Highlights! 🍁🪄
This week, we are creating magic in the woods! Our little ones made beautiful Autumn Wands to take home using colourful leaves of all shapes and sizes. Alongside our firm favourites, we had a blast with a giant conker run, our autumn sensory mix, and a very sweet baby’s first swing adventure! 👶✨

🐿️ Woodland Squirrels Monday Fun! 🍂
Today was all about using nature to spark curiosity, patterns, counting, and mathematical play!
Our little adventurers had the best time exploring today’s invitations to play:
✨ Playing games and making patterns with natural treasures
✨ Snipping away at our favourite scissor-cutting tray
✨ Creating stories with our gorgeous acorn people
Star Activity: Our adult-led activities was a massive hit! The children used palm drills and mushroom clamps to drill holes into conkers, creating their very own conker spiders and wristwatches! 🕷️⌚
The concentration and creativity in the woods today was unmatched. 🪵❤️

🪵 Conker Creations & Autumn Walks 🍁
After a beautiful, sunny walk, the children set to work making some amazing conker creations! Using palm drills and conker clamps, they carefully crafted their way to conker cats, spiders, and people.
It was a wonderfully fun and focused session, wrapped up perfectly with lots of marshmallows! 🪵✨

Woodland Squirrels: Autumn Exploration 🍂
What a brilliant, creative Monday we’ve had! This week’s theme focuses on the changing seasons, using the classic Leaf Man concept to spark imagination. The children loved searching through our fallen leaves and arranging them into their people creations.
We supported their physical development, maths, and literacy skills through a variety of invitations to play, including: ⚖️ Weight and balance exploration with our scales✍️ Seasonal mark-making🌰 Fine motor skills & imaginative play with acorn people🪵 Gross motor fun in the muddy puddles!

🪵Exploring Rabbits – Home Ed & Flexi-Schooling🪵
Today’s woodland adventures were all about hands-on crafting and autumn discoveries! We crafted our own wooden spinning tops from scratch—slicing the branch discs, drilling the centre holes, and hunting for the perfect-sized sticks to make them spin.
We also celebrated the changing season by making autumn crowns and heading off on a scavenger hunt for natural treasures. We wrapped up a busy day with some relaxing hammock time and plenty of creative play in the woods.

🐿️🍂 Woodland Squirrels Monday Update! 🍂🐿️
We kicked off this week’s Stay & Play sessions by diving into a beautiful collection of Autumn Treasures! Under the glorious morning sunshine, our little adventurers had a wonderful time exploring the changing season through nature and play.
Here is a glimpse of what our busy squirrels got up to today:
🍁Autumn Sensory Tray: Scooping, sorting, and feeling all the unique textures that the new season brings.
🍁Forest Scavenger Hunt: Tracking down hidden seasonal gems as we explored deep into the woods.
🍁Leaf Crown Crafting: Designing and building majestic crowns out of crunchy fallen leaves to wear proudly on the way home!
Alongside all our usual forest favourites, it was the perfect morning discovering exactly what makes autumn so magical. Thank you to everyone who joined us for a brilliant morning of muddy hands and big smiles!

Exploring Rabbits 🐰✨After a beautiful forest walk, we headed back to base camp for some campfire cooking! The children loved peeling, chopping, mixing, and pouring to create a delicious apple and blackberry crumble. 🍏✨We wrapped our creations in tin foil, cooked them right over the campfire, and enjoyed eating them together on the benches. We wrapped up the day with some well-deserved free play and toasted marshmallows. 🔥🍡Thank you so much to everyone who joined us! 🍁

Join the team for some spooktacular Halloween-themed outdoor fun, featuring a spooky trail, a magical potion station, an adult-led craft, marshmallow toasting, and plenty of your favourite forest school play activities.

The event has three scheduled sessions over the October half term:
Tuesday 27th October 2026 – 10:00 am to 12:00 pm
Tuesday 27th October 2026 – 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm
Wednesday 28th October 2026 – 10:30 am to 12:30 pm💰

Pricing & Booking Information Price:
£14 per child (includes one accompanying adult).

Booking Requirement: Pre-booking is strictly required. Tickets will not be available to purchase on the door.

Woodland Squirrels- Monday - this weeks theme is an autumn highlight & we are so excited to bring back the Gruffalo to Jobbers Wood! We made Gruffalo crumble to cook on the campfire - was delicious. Owl ice cream play, finding the characters in the leaves & a trail around the forest to meet the animals from the book. The new Gruffalo grandma book was very popular & children enjoyed reading it for the first time around the fire with their adult
