⭐️ Some of our kindness ambassadors have taken all of the harvest food donations to St Thomas’ Church. They weighed the donations in, checked and labelled dates, sorted them into the pantry and then picked and packed some bags that will be collected by customers today. Wow - our Nursery and Reception children have got off to an amazing start at Castle! They are so settled already; they’ve been making friends, creating posters, climbing, playing and just being wonderful!! We are so excited for the year ahead! 🏰 ❤️

Yorkshire Air Museum - the perfect end to an incredible three days away!

Year 5 and 6 have had the most wonderful time and made brilliant memories with old friends and new. They have had so many new experiences and have made us so proud.

To quote a member of the public on the river cruise - 'You've got a wonderful bunch of children there'. We couldn't agree more!

What a day!

After our river cruise, we enjoyed lunch by the river before heading into York to shop on the Shambles, and learn about the history of chocolate at York's Chocolate Story.

We were then lucky enough to be given a special tour of York Minster by a chaplain, and we were even able to listen to the choir sing - incredible!

This afternoon, we've walked the city walls before an evening meal at Bella Italia.

Over two days, we have walked 25,000 steps and are definitely ready for a good sleep tonight before our final day!

After a good night's sleep, we've had a great breakfast and are now ready to board our river cruise to start another jam...

An absolutely fantastic first day in York!

We have learned all about the Vikings at Jorvik, visited Barley Hall to learn about life in York in the medieval times, and eaten lots of pizza and ice cream. We're finishing the day off with a magical game of mini golf before heading back to the YHA for a well-deserved sleep!

The children are all having a wonderful time and can't wait to go again in the morning!

We arrived safely in York this morning!

We have spent the afternoon visiting Jorvik Centre and Barley Hall, and are now enjoying a meal at Pizza Express before a game of mini golf this evening.
