What a day yesterday for Years 6s! Teacher Takeover Day, Woodcocks Got Talent, Final disco and takeaway! Leavers Service for Year 6s today was incredible - many tears were shed (especially from me)😢 It has been an incredible few days and it has been an absolute pleasure teaching these Year 6s for the past two years! I will miss them all very much!

Year 5/6 want to say a huge thank you for all the support with the performance of ‘Pirates of the Curry Bean’. The performances were incredible and Miss Pate is so proud of all of the children for putting on such a show! Well done everyone! 🏴‍☠️⚓️💙🩵

Last week, Diamond class had a fun afternoon exploring magnets. As part of our science topic on forces, we discussed magnetism before using a range of different magnets to investigate whether various objects were magnetic or not. 🧲 As you can see, the children had lots of fun using the magnets. 🧲

In Science, Diamond class have been learning all about floating and sinking. We looked at a range of objects and predicted whether they would float or sink, we then tested our predictions. It was lots of fun with some surprising results.

The children in Diamond class have been continuing their history topic learning all about toys from the past. Last week, we made some rag dolls and compared them to the dolls we usually play with. This week, we have been comparing books from the past with our favourite current day books. We created our very own book covers, aging them to make them look old.
