Stone Well Cottage Day Nursery is a small home from home nursery in the centre of Moulton Village just down from the Church and next door to the Primary School. We offer Outstanding Childcare and Education with our highly trained and established staff team who strive to ensure each Child is happy, secure and well cared for and provided with a range of activities and experiences to engage them and

ignite their imaginations while developing their personalities and learning and development. We celebrate every child as an individual and welcome families to become a part of the nursery.

This morning, we made the most of the beautiful sunshine and we went on a walk around our local village!☺️

There were lots of learning opportunities on their walk. We looked out for numbers we recognised on houses and cars,
the children explored their shadows on the ground, talked about who keeps them safe when we’re out on walks and they all showed lots of care for our environment and the animals living in it. We even managed to see the road works! ☀️ 🚧

At Stone Well Cottage we really value our local community and we love taking the children to explore it further and giving them opportunities to learn and see new things. 🐛⛪️ 🚧

Fingers crossed we will see lots more sunshine over the weekend!🤞🏻☀️

🚒 Fire fighters visit 🚒

Stone Well have had some very special visitors. The children were over the moon to see our firefighter helpers and their truck.

The children enjoyed speaking and listening to the fire fighters as they showed us their special equipment, let us sit in the back of their truck and even gave us the incredible opportunity to practice with their hose supporting us in hand and eye co-ordination skills.

Ensuring children feel a valued part of their community and gain the understanding of those who are in our community who can help us is an important part in what we do at Stone Well Cottage.

👮‍♀️👮‍♂️Nursery Police Visit 👮‍♂️👮‍♀️

Stone Well had a visit from our local PCSO Kev! We had discussions around the different vehicles police use, how the police keep us safe and the different animals they use as well as how they train them to be police helpers! We went on to dress up and pretend to be part of the police team, we was so excited to listen, discuss and get stuck in! PSCO Kev even let us sit in the police van, and listen to the sirens 🚨

In the preschool room, we turned our home corner into a “Farm shop.”  We walked to the local shop and brought fresh fruit and vegetables to put in our shop. We spoke about how fruit and vegetables are grown and we also used the scales to weigh them. The children then used the till to match the numbers of what the scales showed. 😊 🥕🍅 🌽
