🍏😂 WE ASKED OUR STAFF HOW LONG THEY’VE WORKED AT GREEN APPLE… 😂🍏

…and then we made them look that age. 👶➡️👵

Because apparently some of our staff have been here for SO LONG, we needed photographic evidence. 🤣

We’ve got:
👶 Fresh-faced newbies
🧒 Staff who apparently started here during primary school
🧓 A few who look like they personally remember when Green Apple opened 😂
🦖 And one or two who may have been employed by the Jurassic Park management team. 🦖🤣

No staff members were harmed during this experiment… although a few egos definitely were. 😂💀

This week, our Depute Managers Shannon, Dione and Jennifer joined Nicola, Area Manager, for a dedicated Leadership Support Session focused on strengthening leadership skills, building confidence and supporting high-quality practice across our nursery settings. 📚✨

Throughout the session we explored:

🌟 Understanding the role of an effective Depute Manager.
🗣️ Leadership styles and professional communication.
✅ Quality assurance and maintaining high standards of practice.
👥 Supporting and leading teams effectively.
📋 Accountability, compliance and professional responsibilities.
🤝 Building positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
💡 Coaching, mentoring and giving constructive feedback.
🔍 Reflective practice and continuous improvement.
📝 Real-life leadership scenarios and problem-solving discussions.

The session encouraged meaningful discussion, reflection and sharing of experiences, helping our leaders develop the confidence and skills needed to inspire their teams and create positive outcomes for children and families every day. 🌈🌱

As the colder days arrive, we're bringing lots of warm, comforting and nutritious meals to Green Apple Nursery Ltd! 🍏💚

Today's lunch was a proper little belly warmer… 😋

🥩 Slow-Cooked Beef Stew with Dumplings 🥕🫛🥔

Packed with tender beef, seasonal vegetables and fluffy dumplings, it was the perfect cosy lunch to keep our little ones’ tummies full and happy! 🥰

Our Autumn/Winter menu is all about nutritious, balanced and delicious home-style meals, freshly prepared with love by our amazing nursery chefs. 👩‍🍳❤️

Because nothing beats coming in from a chilly autumn day to the smell of a lovely warm lunch! 🍂🥣

🚧 Building work is well underway and we’re busy creating a purpose-built, high-quality and modern learning environment designed with our children and families at the heart of everything we do. We can’t wait to welcome families into our new nursery and create a warm, inspiring space where little ones can learn, play, explore and grow. 🌱✨

We’ll be providing high-quality Early Learning & Childcare for children aged 0–5 years, with:
🦸‍♂️ Highly skilled & qualified staff.
🍽️ Home-cooked meals and catering for children.
🌲 Forest sessions.
🌳 Secure outdoor play areas for 0-2 and 2-5 year olds.
⏰ Open 7.30am–6pm, Monday to Friday.
📅 Open 51 weeks per year - closing for week over Christmas.
🏡 A purpose-built, modern learning environment with high quality resources and furniture.

Katie Morrison has successfully completed her SCQF Level 7 Social Services (Children & Young People) qualification through Qualitas, supported throughout her journey by her amazing assessor Adelle. This achievement reflects Katie’s dedication, resilience and commitment to high‑quality Early Years practice 🍏

Katie completed her qualification while working at Green Apple Nursery Hamilton as a Modern Apprentice, and we are delighted to share that she will remain with us as a Qualified Early Years Educator, joining our 3–5 playroom team. Her nurturing approach, strong relationships and passion for children’s learning will continue to shine in her new role 💚🎉
