Hi all

Sorry for short notice. We were hoping clouds would clear up but as they haven't we are unfortunately having to cancel tonight's event.
There is another one coming up soon, hopefully weather will be better then.

Once again, the weather has got the better of us and it's clouded over. However we aren't going to cancel the session completely, we're still here if you want to visit and learn about KEVISA, and if it does clear up later on in the evening, we might try to observe.

We will however be finishing at 2100

Regrettably, we are cancelling tonight's observing session due to poor weather. We held off as long as we could, but unfortunately the cloud cover just refuses to move!

We realise that this may cause you an inconvenience, and we can only apologise for this.

Hopefully we'll have more luck next time!

Hello All!

The events schedule for observing sessions over the coming winter months, starting with Tuesday 13th December from 1900-2230 to (hopefully) witness the Geminids meteor shower, will be published over the coming week.

Please put these dates in your diary and follow the instructions on our website regarding attending these sessions, as well as keeping an eye on this page as the event approaches - changes are most likely to be because of weather conditions.

Apologies for the late notice of Tuesday’s session, we hope you understand our position as 6th form students trying to balance workload and UCAS Applications! Apologies for any inconvenience.

Tonight we will be open from 7 til 10 to finally catch Jupiter at opposition! The forecast is partly clear.

Anyone is free to come at any time that we are open.

Looks like the forecast has changed to cloudiness/rain for tonight so we anticipate an early closing.

Keep an eye out here: as the last event of the year we'll try our best to reschedule it to a good night!

We are A-Okay for tomorrow (Wednesday the 9th) evening's public astronomy event at a new time of 8:00 till 11:00, open to anyone who wishes to visit.

Jupiter is currently at opposition: the biggest and brightest it will be all year

It looks like we are going to have to cancel the Jupiter event for tomorrow (Tuesday), due to overcast weather. However we may be able to open up on Wednesday dependent on how the forecast progresses.
