What a wonderful way to end the school year! Today, every class enjoyed a wholesome day of fun and laughter. The children spent time in the forest with Miss Gray, toasting marshmallows and enjoying the outdoors, before cooling off with a fantastic water fight on the field as an end-of-term treat organised by the Friends of Grange View C.E First School. It was lovely to see so many smiling faces, happy memories being made, and everyone celebrating a fantastic year together. Thank you to everyone who helped make the day so special!

For the last three weeks, Maple Class have had their turn at Gardening Club. They have had a great time with Colin preparing new things to grow, watering, weeding and, best of all, harvesting produce to be used at Youth Club.

As summer approaches, we look back with pride at all we have achieved this year. Our raised beds and polytunnel are thriving, and we are already looking forward to getting started again in September.

Today, some of our Key Stage classes took part in an engaging workshop with Papaya, learning about the impact that screen time can have on our health and wellbeing. Through a range of fun and thought-provoking activities, the children explored both the benefits and drawbacks of the internet, reflected on how much time they spend on screens, and discovered what this could add up to over a lifetime. They also worked together to create practical top tips for reducing screen time and making more time for hobbies, outdoor play, family and friends. It was a fantastic opportunity for the children to think about developing healthy digital habits and how small changes can help lead to a happier, healthier and more balanced lifestyle. Thank you to Papaya for delivering such an informative and engaging session!
