Fish Hero day at King Edward VI High School MORPETH Northumberland, delivering on behalf of Food Teachers Centre-UK -Public Pages, Fish Hero project!

What a great day. Loved that yet another group of young students have tried and tasted a variety of fish: Thai mussels, calamari and breaded plaice.

Before moving on to fillet their own mackerel and serve it with a chickpea and chorizo stew!

That’s what the fish hero project is all about and delighted to be part of it 👌

Fish Hero Masterclasses have been the focus this week! Delivering on behalf of Food Teachers Centre-UK -Public Pages

My visits took me to Studio West and Cramlington Learning Village

The students were amazing and have loved watching their confidence grow as they have prepared, filleted, cooked and served their Mackerel dishes.

Also great to see them all tasting the range of demo dishes from calamari, Thai mussels to posh fish finger sandwiches using breaded plaice goujons.

Had such lovely feedback too! ❤️

Delighted to be delivering Fish Hero Masterclasses on behalf of Food Teachers Centre-UK -Public Pages

Taking me back to my roots 😍

Students learned about fish and sustainability. Before demonstrations of filleting and preparing different types of fish and shellfish. Testing out 4 fish dishes!

Then they had the opportunity to fillet a mackerel and develop it into pan fried mackerel with chorizio and chickpea stew!

Leith’s Education Spotlight

Early start today as I headed off to London to interview Maria Dunbar Leiths Education on behalf of Food Teachers Centre-UK -Public Pages

The aim of the day is to ask all those questions our Food teachers would like to know about Leith Education, new programmes for schools.

Good morning from Canons High School Official where today we have our Foundations in Food practical CPD training on behalf of Food Teacher's Centre UK

The course is specifically designed for non-specialists to support them into teaching Food.
