England may have narrowly missed out on a place in the World Cup Final, but football fever is still very much alive at Stobhillgate!
A huge thank you to Northumbrian Water for their generous donation of brand new footballs. They've already been put to good use at lunchtimes, with plenty of goals, great teamwork and smiling faces. We're incredibly grateful for their support in helping keep our children active, healthy and having fun.

🍕 YEAR 4 PITMAN PICNIC 🍕

What a fantastic afternoon we’ve had celebrating our wonderful Year 4s!

Our Year 4 children enjoyed a delicious pizza party, along with puzzles, colouring, music and lots of fun games, making some wonderful final Stobhillgate memories with their friends.

A huge thank you to The Pitman Pizza Co. for helping make the afternoon so special by preparing and delivering the pizzas! All children across school have been given a unique Stobhillgate discount code to take home, so be sure to check your child’s bag. The offer is available until the end of August!

Year 1 have had an amazing visit to Warkworth castle to bring alive their history unit on ‘Castles of Northumberland.’

The children remembered some amazing facts from their history work as soon as we arrived. They were incredibly curious around the castle ruins and asked some superb questions.

They then headed to the beach, where they revisited some work about coastlines from their Geography unit ‘Mountains, rivers and coasts.’

Some very sandy children on their way back to school! 🪏🪣🏰

Learning Link Project Begins!
We're delighted to share that work has now started on our Learning Link Project – and there's already been fantastic progress!

This significant investment will see the complete redevelopment of the learning link corridor connecting Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 with the rest of the school. The new learning link corridor will provide a warm, energy-efficient, weatherproof and welcoming space for our children and staff for many years to come.
Alongside this, we will also be improving our Year 1 outdoor garden area and creating an additional flexible space for small-group teaching and support activities.

A huge thank you to everyone for your support and patience as we adjust to a few temporary changes to our daily routines. We're incredibly excited to watch the project take shape and can't wait to see the finished result.

Y4 Camping Trip – Day 2 🏕️

What a fantastic end to our camping adventure!

This morning, we packed away our tents, enjoyed breakfast and set off early for our walk from Windshields to Housesteads. It was a warm one! ☀️

We are so proud of every single one of the children. They have shown resilience, teamwork, determination and enthusiasm throughout the adventure, making the experience a huge success.

A huge thank you to Miss Owens, Miss Driscoll and Miss Small for all of the planning and preparation in the lead-up to the trip, and for their hard work and support over the last two days.

We’re now on our way back to school and are expected to arrive before the end of the school day.

🏕️ Y4 Camping Trip – Day 1 ☀️

A fantastic first day for our Year 4 campers!

Today we walked from Windshields to Caw Gap. Despite the warm weather, the children have been absolutely fantastic.

After arriving at camp, they put up their own tents and made their packed lunches for tomorrow’s adventure.

A brilliant start to our trip! ⛺🥾

Our happy campers have arrived! Now to put up our tents, ready for a fun 2 days! ⛺️
