🌸 A Beautiful Visit to Harvest Court 🌸
We had such a wonderful time visiting our friends at Harvest Court this week. 💜
Our preschool children enjoyed completing flower colouring pictures alongside the residents, giving them a lovely opportunity to talk, learn one another’s names and build special connections. There was so much meaningful communication as the residents asked the children questions, and the children confidently shared their own answers and stories.
The children were also fascinated to discover some of the residents’ wonderful skills, including knitting, which sparked lots of curiosity and conversation.
Our babies joined in through music, exploring instruments, singing songs and moving colourful scarves while the residents clapped, sang and participated alongside them. 🎶🌈
Each flower picture included a beautiful poem, and every resident was able to keep a special coloured picture created during the session. One wonderful resident even coloured a beautiful picture for us to bring back to nursery for the children, which we will proudly display.
Watching the relationships between our children and the residents continue to grow is truly heart-warming. These visits provide such valuable opportunities for communication, confidence, kindness and connection across generations.
Thank you to everyone at Harvest Court for making us feel so welcome. We cannot wait to visit again and continue developing these beautiful friendships. 💐
