Shane and his Read Easy Birmingham South West coach recently featured on BBC Midlands.
Shane shared how he has gone from feeling awkward about his struggle with reading to enjoying it, gaining more confidence, exploring his creativity and reading with his son.
Thank you Shane for being so willing to share your story and inspiring other adults who might want to learn to read.
And if hearing from Read Easy Birmingham South West's volunteers has inspired you, there are plenty of opportunities to help all the other 'Shanes' we know are out there.
