Today we focused on the restoration of man to God’s presence, purity and holiness. Prof. Akanimo Odon emphasized that the ultimate purpose of restoration is reconciliation with God and the salvation of the human spirit.

Since God’s presence brings life and His presence demands holiness, restoration must include a return to purity and fellowship with God.

A major emphasis was the distinction between holiness received as a gift and holiness expressed through a believer’s life. Through Christ, the believer receives a new spirit and the Holy Spirit. However, believers must cooperate with the Holy Spirit by renewing their minds and allowing God's holiness to influence their thoughts, emotions, decisions and lifestyle.

The teaching identified three important disciplines represented in the Holy Place:

The Lampstand — fellowship with the Holy Spirit.
The Showbread — continual engagement with God's Word.
The Altar of Incense — prayer and communion with God.

The session challenged believers to move beyond 'church membership into genuine discipleship'. Following Christ requires consecration, self-denial and allowing God's will to take preeminence.

Christ has restored access to God's presence. Now, believers must learn to walk in the reality of that restoration through purity, holiness, prayer, God's Word and fellowship with the Holy Spirit.

PASTORS, STOP BLAMING THE SICK FOR LACK OF FAITH!

The faith of the sick, in the face of compassion, is not required while standing before the Healer.

When we pressure, burden, or saddle the sick with the responsibility to “produce enough faith” before they can receive healing, we abuse the FINSHED WORK.

The responsibility of the one administering healing is to understand, exercise and demonstrate the authority entrusted to the believer onto the HEALING of the SICK.

The reality is alarming. Sickness, disease, and mental burdens are increasing, and sadly, the world has increasingly learned to accept them as normal, even among Christians who have been called to walk in the power and authority of Christ.

YESTERDAY, the Kainos Teaching & Discipleship (KTD) session focused on “The Restoration of Health” as part of the broader restoration of the things humanity lost through the Fall.

The teaching examined sickness in relation to God's original creation. Dr. Akanimo Odon presented sickness and disease as contrary to God's original design for humanity. He connected the entrance of death, disease and other forms of disorder with humanity's fall and the subsequent loss of authority and separation from God. Sickness was also described as one of the major ways human beings lose valuable time and experience bo***ge.

The ministry of Jesus was presented as central to restoration. Luke 4:18–19 describes His mission as bringing freedom and restoration, while 1 Peter 2:24 declares that believers “were healed.” John 10:10 was also used to contrast the destructive work of the thief with the abundant life Christ came to give.

The session emphasized five major principles:
1. God's desire is for His people to experience restoration and health.
2. Sick people should not automatically be blamed for lacking faith.
3. Sickness should not be viewed simply as God's method of teaching His children.
4. Believers should understand and exercise the authority Christ has given them.
5. Healing can serve as a sign that points people toward Christ and salvation.

KTD's emphasis is therefore on teaching and discipling believers to understand what Christ restored and to demonstrate that restoration in practical life and ministry.
