Lancaster and District Schools Singing Festival

We are so excited to let you know that the Kimichi Symphony Orchestra is coming to Kendal Town Hall to do a Children’s Concert (in collaboration with Westmorland Youth Orchestra) on Sunday 26 October | 11:30 – 12:45.
The event is designed for school-age children, & this particular concert offers an introduction to the orchestra and a unique opportunity for the young musicians of the Westmorland Youth Orchestra to perform alongside KSO's professional players.

Kimichi are also holding 2 other concerts on the 25/26th October lasting an hour in Grange & Ambleside of Beethoven's 5th symphony.

Here’s the twist for all their concerts... Instead of sitting in rows watching us play, you’ll actually sit inside the orchestra while we perform some of Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony amongst other musical delights. That means you’ll hear (and feel!) the music from all directions – violins on one side, brass on the other, timpani right behind you. It’s an amazing, unique experience that's not to be missed.
