Explore our latest tech bite on effective well clean-up🛠️

Well clean-up is the process of removing drilling fluids, debris, and contaminants to ensure the wellbore is clean and ready for a safe and effective completion or intervention operation.

By ensuring an effective well clean-up, key risks are mitigated before they can develop into well integrity or operational failures.

Explore our 'effective well clean-up' table to learn more about well clean-up hazards, their operational impact and the potential consequences they can have.

The IWCF Glossary provides standardised definitions for terminology used in our training and assessments, helping candidates, instructors and assessors communicate with confidence. This resource is available in multiple languages to support our global audience.🌍

Strengthen your knowledge, one term at a time.💪

Fusible caps: Why are they less commonly used in well intervention operations?

Modern well intervention practices focus on maintaining and verifying barriers, and many operators now do not rely on the use of fusible caps.
