What an EGGcellent afternoon we had 🥚

Helped hugely by a very generous donation from TESCO Montrose - Supporting Our Community, the Parent Council gathered up lots and lots of chocolate eggs and organised a whole school Easter egg hunt 🐰

It was chaos, but the best kind. And, thanks to your support all year round, every single pupil and teacher went home with an Easter Egg 🪺

🏃‍♀️ Broomfield Park junior parkrun – Montrose 🏃‍♂️

Launching this Sunday! 🎉

A free, weekly 2k event for children aged 4–14, held every Sunday at 9:30am in Broomfield Park.

Run, walk, jog, skip or volunteer – everyone welcome!

What. A. Night.

We are still nursing some seriously sore feet but we are delighted to announce that the Raise the Roof Fundraiser on Saturday raised an incredible £8469.67. That means that each primary school in Montrose will receive £1411.61 🥳

We have had so much fun planning this event and seeing it come together on the night was amazing. But it wouldn't have been possible without a very, very long list of people.

The generous donations of our sponsors meant that every penny raised on the night has gone towards that final total, so a huge thank you to:
Baker Hughes, Pert Bruce Construction Ltd, Dinos Pizza Montrose, Safe-Tay Security Services LTD, The Funky Wee Teapot - montrose, Celurca Investments, GPG Montrose Ltd, Due North Creatives and Bides Group.

Our silent auction alone made £1000, with some incredible prizes donated by Charleton Fruit Farm, Montrose FC, Aberdeen FC, Jason Boyd at Montrose Golf Links, KW Ramsay World Travel and JDT Services 👏

We literally couldn't have done this all without our entertainment for the night; Remedy, Sorella and Calum Campbell Music, and our sound and lighting company, Perthshire Sound and Light Hire. They put on a truly INCREDIBLE show, whilst also helping us out so much behind the scenes. If you didn't catch them this time, be sure to go and check out when they are next playing; you will not be disappointed 🎵

Our MC for the night, Ross Thomson, kept the night running smoothly, had us all laughing AND stayed behind to tidy up. What a legend!

This event was supported by so many people, including those businesses and friends who donated the massive amount of raffle prizes we received; thank you all so much 💕

Ultimately, this night happened because parents came together, through their parent councils, to form a committee and make it happen. The hours, effort and thought that goes into something like this is massive and we are so proud of what our little team achieved.

There's only a few weeks to go until we Raise the Roof and we have been blown away by your support. Not only was this event a SELL OUT within less than 48 hours, we have had a huge amount of donations from lots of lovely friends, family and local businesses. As well as the incredible prizes listed below, we have also got hampers, beauty vouchers, food vouchers, lots of bottles and some amazing little goodies up for grabs! 🍾

Tickets will be sold on the night, with winners being announced then too. However, each school will also be selling tickets in the run up to the event. At Rosemount, we will be selling tickets (cash only) from the school foyer on:

We have had six incredible prizes generously donated and they are now waiting to be taken home by the highest bidder. Anyone can bid on these items, regardless of whether they are attending the Raise the Roof gig or not.

We were absolutely delighted when Dinos Pizza Montrose offered to not only make the pizzas, but donate a significant amount too 🍕 Their support will allow us to raise as much money as possible for Montrose primary schools; thank you!

We’re so grateful to have local businesses like them backing our schools and helping make events like this possible. Their sponsorship will directly impact every school in the town, helping ensure as much money as possible is raised for everything from new technology to replacing outdoor play equipment.

The wonderful Perthshire Sound and Light Hire have also been instrumental in bringing this night together and we are very grateful for their time and expertise, as well as their generosity💡

Event planning is officially in full flow, with less than a month to go before all 6 Montrose primary schools come together to raise vital funds (and dance the night away, obvs) 🪩

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be shining a spotlight on the people who have made the event possible 🔦 And what better way to kick us off than to say a massive thank you to our entertainment for the night;

We quite literally wouldn’t be doing this without them ❤️
