Huge congratulations to everyone at Southesk Primary School in Montrose on this fantastic achievement.

I’m delighted to have lodged a motion in Parliament recognising Southesk as the first school in Angus to achieve OPAL Platinum status, and Scotland’s highest-scoring school to date.

Children have a right to play, to be heard and to help shape the spaces around them. Southesk is showing what can happen when those rights are put into practice every day.

A brilliant achievement for the whole school community 💚

One of our Event Directors used to attend Southesk Primary as a young lad and he is going to pop by before heading to St Cyrus 10k to say hello.🏅
