It looks like wonderful weather tomorrow morning for our Family Goose Walk at Montrose Basin!

We'll be playing the goose migration game, creating goose art in nature, and listening to some of the pink-footed geese taking off from the Basin for the morning.

Just £6 per child ticket, children must be accompanied by an adult. (Adults don't need to buy a ticket!)

🚲 Free October holiday bike camps!

Cycle Hub is running bike camps in Arbroath and Kirriemuir, open to all children. There’ll be bike drills, led rides and mini mechanic skills to try! 🔧

📍 Muirfield Primary School: 5 & 6 October
📍 Northmuir Primary School: 7 & 8 October
⏰ P2–P4: 10.30am–12.30pm
⏰ P5–P7: 1.30–3.30pm

🌿 Can you help Lochside? 🌿

We’re currently looking for a few items to help make one of our new classrooms at Lochside feel calm, cosy and welcoming. Before buying everything new, we thought we’d ask our wonderful families and community if anyone has any of the following they’re getting rid of and would be happy to gift or donate to the school:

* 💡 Soft lighting / lamps — large or small, ideally cream, beige or white
* 🤍 Large rug — cream, beige or white
* 🪴 Artificial plants — any size
* 🤎 Cushions — cream, beige or white
* 🧺 Storage baskets — cream, beige or white
* 🧶 Cosy blankets / throws — cream, beige or white

Everything would be very gratefully received and will help us create a lovely, comfortable space for the children. 🥰

⚽💚 Football Reminder! 💚⚽

Just a reminder that P4 & P5 school football starts TODAY! 🙌⚽

⏰ 3:15–4:15pm

⚽️ Lochside School Football is back! ⚽️

We’ve had so much interest in our P4–P7 football sessions, which is fantastic! 🙌 Because of the numbers, we’ll be alternating training each week so everyone gets plenty of time on the ball.

📅 Wednesday 9th September – P4 & P5
📅 Wednesday 16th September – P6 & P7
Then the groups will continue to alternate each Wednesday.

🏆 P6 & P7 will have opportunities to represent Lochside at school football festivals against other schools.

⚽️ P4 & P5 won’t miss out either! We’re hoping to organise some smaller friendly festivals with other Montrose primary schools so they can enjoy playing matches too.
