We're lucky at Borderlands to be unaffected by the Monmouth flooding (water stopped at the end of our road) but many friends, neighbours and businesses in the town have been devastated. If you're able to support then one route is the Mayor's appeal here

We're running one of our 3 day Advanced Outdoor First Aid courses on 3-5 December at Gilwern near Abergavenny. We're hoping to have a few mock casualties on day 3 of the course (5 Dec) to help provide challenging scenarios for our candidates. We're on the lookout for a few volunteers as mock casualties on our ITC Advanced Outdoor First Aid course in December. This would be on the third day of the course: 18 December. You're likely to get a bit chilly, possibly muddy, have fake blood liberally splashed on you, but in return we'll provide you with biscuits and a half price place on a future course! This is also a good opportunity to recap your own first aid skills through being a casualty for some of our scenarios. Drop us a message or email on [email protected] if interested
