Went for a walk round the block to suprise Bandie Peter Newman earlier today.
Pete has been a standard bearer with for many a year and has always done it with grace and pride.
It was a honour to go and play for him.
Also sharing birthdays was Bandie Amy Vercoe 🤩x

We had a suprise “walk round the block” to wish Bandie Peter Newman a happy 90th earlier this evening. Also Bandie Amy shares the birthday but she won’t tell us her age 🤣.

Celebrating Welsh Pride in Blaina
A new mural has been unveiled in Blaina, featuring a young girl in traditional Welsh costume offering a daffodil — a vibrant symbol of national pride and community spirit.
Today, the artwork was brought to life as a local child reached out to take the daffodil, creating a memorable moment for the town.
Thank you to the building owner for granting permission, and to Walls by Paul for doing an amazing job on this beautiful piece.
Proudly carrying the message:
“Blaina – a small town with a big Welsh heart.”

Something new for this year to add to the atmosphere of this magical event - Band Cambria will be leading the parade to add more sound to bounce of the buildings in our medieval town.

Little vid sent to us of the day parade in earlier. Little highlight was someone coming over to tell us they remembered one of the juniors being carried on the back of the bass player and now walking along with a flag and how they’d seen us grow over the yrs.
