🐄🐷 Old MacDonald had a farm… E-I-E-I-O! 🐥🐴

Our little ones had lots of fun exploring our farm animal activity today! 🐄🐖🐑🐥 From naming animals and making sounds to using their hands to explore and play, there was plenty of learning hidden in the fun! 🌾🤎

👷‍♀️🚧 Busy Builders at Work! 🚧👷‍♂️

Our little builders got stuck into our construction small world play! 🛠️🧱 Wearing their hard hats and using a variety of tools, the children worked together to build houses, explore different materials and let their imaginations run wild! 🏡💛

🦁🐯 A wild adventure in our small world safari! 🌿🐘

The children explored our jungle habitat, using animal figures and loose parts to create their own imaginative stories! 🦒✨ Small world play encourages creativity, develops language and communication skills 🗣️, supports problem-solving 🧩 and helps children learn about the world around them. 🌍💚

✂️🌈 Snip, snip, hooray! 🌈✂️

We practised our cutting skills using child-safe scissors and a variety of fun materials! 💚✂️ From paper strips to pipe cleaners and card, the children enjoyed exploring different textures while building confidence. 😊

This activity helps to strengthen hand muscles 💪, develop fine motor skills 🖐️, improve hand-eye coordination 👀 and encourage concentration and independence. 🌟

Learning through play is always the best way! 💛✨

🍋💦 Our little explorers had a zesty sensory adventure! 💦🍋

We loved splashing, scooping, squeezing and investigating fresh lemons in our citrus water tray! 🌊🍋 The children explored different textures, smells and tastes while developing their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and language through play. 👐👃💛

There were lots of curious faces, giggles and even a few funny sour expressions! 😆🍋 Learning really is best when it’s hands-on! 🌟💚

🌻 Water Play Invitation 🌻

Our little explorers enjoyed a calming sensory water play experience today, filled with bright flowers, floating lily pads and a variety of scooping, pouring and collecting tools. 💛💙🌸

As they poured, splashed and investigated the floating objects, the children were developing:
💧 Hand-eye coordination
🌼 Fine motor skills
🫗 Early mathematical concepts such as full, empty, more and less
🗣️ Language and communication through describing what they could see and do
🤝 Turn-taking and cooperative play
🔬 Curiosity, exploration and problem-solving

Water play is a wonderful way to encourage children to slow down, focus and learn through play while engaging all of their senses. Watching the flowers float, using the colanders and nets, and experimenting with how the water moved created lots of smiles, conversations and discoveries! 🌞✨

🎨🖌️ Creative Printing, Colour Mixing & Messy Fun! 🖌️🎨

Our little artists had so much fun exploring paint using cardboard tubes as printing tools! 🌈✨ They dipped, stamped, rolled and experimented with different colours, creating unique patterns while discovering what happens when colours mix together. 💚💙💛🧡

This hands-on activity supported:
🎨 Creativity and self-expression
👋 Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
🌈 Colour recognition and colour mixing
🧠 Problem-solving and early scientific thinking
💬 Communication and language development
