Sarasen - Independent Consultancy and Advocacy Welcome to SARASEN - Special Educational Needs Resources and Consultancy. dyslexia, AD(H)D, ASD etc. I also have 5 sons, one of whom is dyslexic.

Independent organisation providing specialist advice, advocacy and representation for those supporting children and young adults who have Special Educational/ Additional Learning Needs. I am an education consultant specialising in Special/Additional Educational Needs, e.g. I have 13 years experience teaching Religious Studies in mainstream secondary schools, but my passion for finding creative and

innovative ways to help students with diverse learning needs started early in my teaching career. This means I have experienced the often inconsistent and ambiguous world of Special/Additional Educational Needs from the perspective of a busy teacher and Head of Department, and from that of a concerned parent. My organisation aims to help support those working with children who have a range of Special Educational Needs by:
* providing specialist differentiated resources tailored to meet YOUR schemes of work for YOUR students,
* INSET - whole school, departmental, NQTs,
* practical, no-nonsense help and support for delivering lessons to YOUR SEN students... And for parents:
* independent online advice and guidance,
* representation and advocacy
* developing confidence in your child/children.

✅ What you will get from us is honest, accurate and up to date advice and guidance and a commitment to securing the best outcomes for your child.

We don't take on too many clients so that we are unable to provide a top quality service, and we will be with you from start to finish!

We are completely independent, with no allegiance to, or funding from, local authorities or other organisations.

‼️ We are opening our client books as we have a little extra capacity for the coming year.
➕ We have capacity to take on 6 additional clients on a full package basis, and some limited capacity for casual support and advice.
❄️ Remember that we are freezing our fees at last year's rates until the end of the week too!

At the end of this academic year we would like to thank all of our clients for trusting us to support them and their child/young person. It really has been our pleasure!

We strive to ensure that our service is the best it can be and is at as low a cost as it can be. We are already much cheaper than almost all other independent education consultants and advocates.

From 1st August our fees will be subject to a small increase from last year.

We do currently have capacity for 6 academic year packages and a small number of casual advice and consultancy clients. If you think we could help and would like to take advantage of these please drop us a message 😊

✨ Result!!

After 2 years.... yes 2 years!!! our client has been granted a residential place at a specialist college that she was told she was not disabled enough to access! 😲

We have battled against Welsh Government, the local authority and social services to get her there.

We look forward to hearing how it's going. Have the best time! 🩵

A preliminary hearing for disability discrimination and subsequent unfair dismissal at an employment tribunal.

First stage ✅... next to prepare amend appeal documents and on to the next stage.
