Sunray Day Care Nursery Ltd is situated in a beautiful rural setting on the outskirts of Mold, Flintsire. The nursery is a very bright and spacious two story old converted barn, which gives the children the opportunity to appreciate the wonders of nature. ery is well-equipped with state of the art facilities, equipment and resources offering a stimulating environment filled with fun learning experiences suitable for each individual child’s age and stage of development. This is achieved through our well planned programmes which are based on Birth to Three Matters and The Early Years Foundation Phase. At Sunray our philosophy is that high quality childcare is of greatest importance and we pride ourselves in the loving and happy environment we create for our children and their families. We believe that when children feel at home, they can have fun and grow to their full potential. We have a kitchen on the premises and fresh food is prepared daily for the children to enjoy. All the snacks and meals provided are based on the ‘Tiny Tums’ menu guidelines to offer the healthiest start to the children’s lives. Sunray Day Care Nursery has been awarded the 'Top 10 Recommended Nurseries 2014’ in the region. Sunray is registered with the local authorities and offers the 'Early Entitlement' and Flying Start programmes. Hours of Opening: Mon to Fri 8:00am to 6:00pm.Early drop off by prior arrangement. Closed all Bank Holidays and between Christmas and New Year. Pasg Hapus, Happy Easter to all our Sunray families.
On Thursday we had a special visit from the Easter Bunny and the children had a fantastic time searching for their tasty Easter Eggs.
We hope you have all had a lovely weekend so far and we look forward to hearing about all of your adventures when we return from our long Easter weekend on Tuesday.

Happy Mother's Day to all of the mummies and female figures in our lives. Earlier this week, the children had a fabulous time celebrating the important ladies in their lives 🩷💜🌷🪻 A huge thank you to all the Sunray staff for making our Mother's Day morning another one to remember!

What a wonderful day we had yesterday celebrating World Book Day. Thank you to our Sunray parents for encouraging the children to take part and to our magnificent staff for the superb book themed activities that were carried out throughout the setting.

Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Hapus to all our Sunray families.

On Friday the children were invited to dress in Welsh colours to celebrate the occasion and our wonderful staff arranged a variety of exciting Welsh themed activities for the children to enjoy. A big thank you to Sarah, Ayse and Ellie for our yummy homemade Welsh cakes too.

Wishing our Sunray families a Happy New Year, Blwyddyn Newydd Dda.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our wonderful staff for all their hard work during 2025 and share with you memories from our staff Christmas party.

I hope you are all enjoying a well earned rest and wishing you all a healthy and prosperous 2026.

As we approach the end of another wonderful year at Sunray,
we wanted to share with you just some of the festivities that have been going on over the past few weeks.

From real Reindeers, yummy Christmas lunches and meeting new friends within our local community we have certainly shared plenty of festive cheer.

Thank you to North Hills Farm for their annual visit with their beautiful Reindeers. We enjoyed some tasty treats from Emma Claire's cake House and The Lyons Feast & Captain Haddock's, with a special visit from author Kathrine T. R. Jensen with the star of the show Bailey, a wonderful evening was had by all.

Our Stripy Zebra children had a fabulous time visiting the residents at Llys Jasmine Care Home in Mold. The children sang a beautiful arrangement of Christmas Carols, and the staff organised a very special visitor and gifts for the children. A wonderful visit enjoyed by all with lots of friendships made.

Finally, a special thank you to our wonderful kitchen staff Sarah, Ayse and Ellie for a delicious Christmas lunch enjoyed by the children and staff.

Wishing all our families a very Merry Christmas, Nadolig Llawen.
We look forward to welcoming you back on Monday 5th January 2026 and hearing all about the children's Christmas celebrations.

A huge thank you to Father Christmas for taking time out of his busy schedule to visit us today. 🎅 He checked his list twice and confirmed that all of the Sunray children are on the nice list and each received a special gift from him. 🎁 The children then enjoyed a wonderful Christmas party. Thank you to amazing staff members for making the day so magical.🎄

The children have had a wonderful time today taking part in BBC Children in Need. This worthy cause helps to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across the UK. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to every single child who took part in our fundraising efforts and to our staff for the fantastically themed activities that they have provided.

We have had a frightfully fa-BOO-lous Halloween at Sunray today! The children enjoyed all of the SPOOK-tacular activities.
Thank you to all the parents and staff for their fantastic efforts with dressing up and to our kitchen staff for providing the most FANG-tastic treats!
