1 Additional Space Available - starting Tuesday 4th November

Hi everyone. We have a space on one of the Caerwys groups. The beginners group have learned some basic chords, A,Am,C,D,E,G. They are practicing fluent changes. If you are interested in joining at this level, please drop me a line. It’s a lovely, friendly, fun group.

⭐️📣 THE BENEFITS OF LEARNING GUITAR/ AN INSTRUMENT📣⭐️

Guitar is just a brilliant instrument to be able to play, it’s portable unlike other instruments, and you can sing along with it unlike wind instruments. You can find them pretty cheaply too at car boots and charity shops (take someone who can check it’s ok). In addition there is a huge list of other benefits, take a look! 👀 and all of this happens whilst having fun!:

✅ Improved memory - learning chords, songs, notes etc exercises both your short and long term memory.

✅ Improved concentration - guitar forces us to focus on a number of things at once and keep going to the end of a piece of music.

✅ Coordination - we are using both hands at once doing different things with each hand and needing to be accurate in where we put our fingers.

✅ Song writing skills - once you know a few chords/notes the worlds your oyster!

✅ Develops an improved ear for music - rhythm sense, developing pitch and music memory.

✅ Increased awareness - of different styles of music, which expands and develops your personal tastes.

✅ Stress relief - playing guitar is a mindful activity. It requires us to focus completely in the moment on what we are doing.

✅ Expressive outlet - emotions can be expressed through music. One of my favourite expressions is ‘when words fail, music speaks’.

✅ Achievement - working hard and being able to do something that you couldn’t do before gives a great sense of being capable.

✅ Resilience and persistence - learning guitar is a process that requires effort. We reap the rewards of what we put in. Being part of the group requires consistency so we all keep up with each other.

✅ Social connection - we are all in this together, learning. The groups are fun and sociable, a great way to make new friends with similar interests and a shared goal.

✅ Teamwork - we all support each other and work together to play our music!

✅ A life long skill - Once you have learned to play, it’s difficult to forget! I’ve have pupils who haven’t played for 40 years since school, it soon comes back!

🎶📣 NEW BEGINNERS GROUP📣🎶

Hi everyone, we have a brand new beginners group starting in Caerwys on 9th September. If you have always fancied having a go at learning to play guitar, here is the perfect opportunity!! Open to all adult ages. You need to have good movement in your hands and the capacity to practice for 15 minutes a day, five days a week. There are a maximum of 8 people in the group and we start completely from scratch. The groups are friendly, fun and supportive. Please send me a message if you are interested, places are on a first come first served basis. Thank you 🙂🎶🎸

Our fun, friendly, supportive, amazing Caerwys Guitar Groups have a couple of spaces - please see below and share with anyone you know who might be interested:

10.30am Wild Women - A group which has only been running for 6 weeks and originated from the Wild Women facebook group. We have learned 8 chords and are practicing changing between them and developing our repetoire! We are looking for two more adventurous souls to join us!

11.30am Advanced group - *Full*

12.30pm Returners group - Can play most major and minor chords and move between them. One space in this group.

An update on the Caerwys groups running this term.

We have three spaces available in our group for those who can play most of the main basic guitar chords A, Am, A7, B, Bm, B7, C ,D, Dm, D7, E, Em, E7, F, G, G7 starting back 3rd Sept.

One space left on the absolute beginners group for Wild Women Loving Life - North Wales facebook group members (join if your like).

The returners group is full starting back October.

SEPTEMBER BOOKINGS NOW BEING TAKEN 🎶😊🎸

Bookings are now being taken for groups starting in September in Caerwys. There will be three groups on a Tuesday morning:

* 9.30am Absolute beginners

* 10.30am Returners (a gentle group for those who are returning after a break-or for new people who know around 10 basic chords)

* 11.30am Progress group - for people who are familiar with all basic guitar chords. We'll be learning chord based songs and also notes (from scratch).

Please feel free to contact me for further information or clarification on terminology. There are six spaces in each group.
Please book only if you are able to commit to weekly sessions and daily practice from 3rd September to 17th December, excluding half term (Tues 29th Oct). Places will be confirmed by payment £88 for the first block of 8 weeks. Please contact me directly through this page, thank you.
