Morning all. Just a reminder as per group call, D of E training today with major Gray, all bronze and silver to report to Pe class room after registration to see what lesson each pupil can attend today. A provisional dat has been advised for the bronze expedition, still need to cross the t’s and dot the i’s but hopefully all being well this will go ahead.

All candidates will need to lease with Major Gray direct about dates and times confirmation etc please make sure you all leave updated contact details for him.

It’s been a difficult year for everyone doing this, having to change subject choices etc due to covid, a lot of disruption for all, it takes quite a bit of work to put on an expedition and many volunteers. We need to still keep in with covid regulations . All info will be available as we have it today, updates either on here or direct to participants.

Good luck everyone the end is in sight!

Keep going, keep uploading, keep focused, keep asking questions if you are stuck but most of all keep safe.

Just a thought while you all have some time please sign up to the saltire awards, this way you can get double recognition for volunteering, just sign up, enter the Duke of Edinburgh award log your hours with me as your leader, certificates awarded , great to show on your C.V

Hi everyone, just touching base.
These are trying times for us all right now, and I hope you are all staying safe and well.

Please keep your D of E focus whilst we need to gain excellent evidence and update it regularly on line, for example if you are doing physical you could now swap from what you were doing if it was the gym or some other group training, to work outs indoors or in the garden, there are many fitness apps that you can upload your evidence which will count. The evidence needs to be really good for someone later on to evaluate.

Skills could now be gardening, cooking again with really good evidence and time sheets as family cannot evaluate this. So just show us what you are learning when you upload.

Volunteering iwill get back with some ideas unless anyone has any to add hat would be great.

We will worry about training when we are all back and not social distancing but remember there are great sites for learning about navigation, camp graft and first aid videos all of you tube,
