We understand and recognise the relationships and attachments that babies and young children have with significant adults is of crucial importance in their life. We therefore provide a caring and consistent team of practitioners and as a result your child

will benefit from the close and caring interactions of familiar team members. Your child will develop in confidence, independence, have motivation and self fulfilment and develop a true love of learning. We operate a key person system, which means your child will have a specific person who will be responsible for catering, nurturing and developing their individual needs. Your child’s key person will be the one who records and plans for your child and updates their learning journey and writes their progress checks (don’t worry we will discuss this in detail a bit later!), supports them at pivotal times in their life such as, walking, weaning, toilet training and name writing etc, as well as the day to day care and attention you would expect. Your child’s key person will be on hand at either the beginning or the end of the day to discuss your child’s day and all other relevant details. We will also have in place a co-key person system, so when your child’s key person in not at nursery, they have that secondary person who will adopt those same responsibilities. All the team in your child’s base room will have a strong and significant relationship with your child and will be able to meet their day to day needs. You will quickly ease into nursery life developing relationships with all our team and in no time at all we will become your second home!

🎨💨 Blowing Our Creativity! 💨🎨

This week we got creative with paint in a slightly different way! Our little artist used a straw to blow the paint across the paper, creating their own unique patterns and designs. 🌈✨

This simple activity is not only lots of fun, but also supports children’s oral motor skills, breath control and communication and language development. As children practise blowing, they are developing the muscles and control needed for making sounds and supporting clear speech. 🗣️💕

It also encouraged our little one to experiment, make choices and talk about what they could see happening as the paint moved across the page. 🎨👀

We love finding fun and creative ways to support children’s development — because sometimes the best learning happens when we’re simply playing, experimenting and getting a little messy! 🥰✨

🌿🧑‍🍳 Little Chef, Big Determination! 🧑‍🍳🌿

Today in our Mud Kitchen, we had a little one who was determined to master the shaving foam can! 🫧💪

It wasn’t quite as easy as it looked, but that didn’t stop them from trying. They kept practising, experimenting and working out how to use the can independently — showing fantastic perseverance and determination along the way! 🌟

Open-ended play like our Mud Kitchen gives children the freedom to explore, experiment and problem-solve at their own pace. It’s not always about getting it right first time; it’s about having a go, trying again and learning from the experience. 🧠✨

We’re so proud of the patience and determination shown today — sometimes those little “I did it!” moments are the biggest achievements! 🥰💚

📚✨ OUR MONTHLY LIBRARY VISITS! ✨📚

We’re so lucky to have a wonderful local library on our doorstep, and every month we make a special visit to choose some new books to bring back to nursery! 💕📖

Each month, we select books that link with our new theme, helping to bring our learning to life through stories, characters and exciting new adventures. 🌈✨

Our library visits are a fantastic way to encourage a love of books and reading from an early age, while also supporting children’s communication and language development, imagination and understanding of the world around them. 🧠💬

The children love choosing and exploring the books, and it’s always exciting to see which stories we’ll discover next! We then bring our chosen books back into the nursery, where they become part of our activities, conversations and learning throughout the month. 🥰

Sydney is based in our Toddler Room, where she brings lots of energy, enthusiasm and creativity to the team! 🎨🌈

With her loud and bubbly personality, Sydney is always bringing smiles and positivity to the room. She loves getting creative and coming up with brilliant, imaginative activities that keep our toddlers engaged, learning and having lots of fun! 🥰

Sydney loves watching the children explore their interests, develop new skills and grow in confidence, and she’s always ready to get stuck in and make learning fun! 💗

🧱✨ Learning Through Play! ✨🧱

Look at our little builders hard at work! 🥰 Using small blocks to build, stack and create not only sparks their imagination, but also helps develop those all-important fine motor skills.

As children carefully pick up, hold, position and connect the blocks, they are strengthening the small muscles in their hands and fingers — skills that support future tasks such as writing, drawing, using scissors and managing buttons and zips. ✏️✂️

And the best part? They’re learning all of this while having fun, exploring their creativity and proudly building something of their own! 💛

🥕🍅 Home Learning – Let’s Make Soup! 🥦🥔

This week’s home learning challenge is all about healthy eating… and getting our little ones involved in the kitchen! 👩‍🍳🧑‍🍳

Making soup together is a brilliant way for children to explore different vegetables, colours, smells, textures and tastes — and they might even be tempted to try something new along the way! 🌽🥕🫛

Let your little one help choose the vegetables, wash them, stir the ingredients with an adult and talk about how everything changes as it cooks. Don’t forget to use a reduced salt stock cube too! 💚

You could even get creative afterwards by drawing your soup, designing your own soup label or giving your recipe a funny name! 🎨🥣

And remember… it doesn’t have to look perfect! The chopping might be wonky, the kitchen might get messy and they might only taste one spoonful 😂 — it’s all part of the learning.

🪞👀 Peekaboo & Learning About Ourselves! 👀🪞

Today we’ve been having lots of fun exploring body parts, facial features and reflections through play! 💕 Our little one enjoyed looking in the mirror, discovering different parts of their face and body, and of course… enjoying a little game of peekaboo! 🙈

Activities like this support children’s self-awareness, communication and language, while helping them begin to recognise and name different parts of their body. Mirrors also provide a wonderful opportunity for children to explore their own reflection and develop an understanding of themselves. 🧠✨
