Leigh Academy Minster Celebrates Official Authorisation as IB World School 🎉

Leigh Academy Minster is delighted to announce that we are now officially authorised as an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School to deliver the Middle Years Programme (MYP). This prestigious milestone marks the culmination of two years of rigorous planning, staff dedication, and an unwavering commitment to providing a world-class, globally minded education to our students.

As a candidate school since opening in September 2024, the academy has been permitted to deliver the MYP programme to its Key Stage 3 students, however, must gain full authorisation after its second year to continue its delivery. This full authorisation now enables the academy’s student body to continue to access a curriculum framework that is unique to its students when compared to schools locally and across Swale, and ensures our highly academic, locally rooted and internationally minded curriculum continues to thrive.

Return to academy dates 📆

This is a reminder to all families of our return dates for students. All students should attend in full academy uniform as normal and will be on site for the full day.

Please note that students are not required to bring their PE kits to school on 1st and 2nd September.

PE kits will be required starting 3rd September, which is when practical PE lessons will begin.
