The Friends of Minehead First School have organised for The Animal Guyz to visit the school on Tuesday 28th April.

The Animal Guyz offer educational animal themed shows, focused on fun, laughter, master puppetry and animations.
They will be performing 2 shows, roughly 45 minutes long, allowing all children to experience these amazing shows.

Thank you to all of the children and parents for supporting our fundraising events throughout the year, which has allowed the Friends of Minehead First School to fund this visit.

Thank you to everyone who made cakes for our Bake Off today, and thank you to everyone who bought the cakes too.

What an amazing week we have had.
We finish Careers Week with a visit from a Mindful Practitioner and an Artist.
The children will also be taking in a Careers Fair this afternoon where they will be able to look at items left by our speakers and reflect on their week.

We hope your children have enjoyed their week, they all looked amazing in their costumes this morning.

Today is a very exciting day for Careers Week.

We have the amazing Football Fun Factory visiting the school. They will be setting the football dart board up in the main hall, and every class will have a chance to have a play throughout the day.
Thanks so much to Michael for giving up his whole day to support our children.

We also have some wonderful people visiting the children in class, including a Bridge Engineer and someone who has worked on Cruise Ships.

Butlins Redcoats visitng our preschool, a nurse visiting reception and year 2, Butlins recruitment visitng year 3 and Singer Instruments visiting year 4.

Careers Week is back!

Our much loved careers is back this year, at a slightly earlier date.
Children will have visitors in the school from 23rd - 27th March.
We will also be offering an optional "wear what you want to be when you are older" dress up day. This can also include bringing an item to represent their role, for example a toy or accessory.

We have some great speakers booked, which the children will enjoy.

Wear What You Love non uniform day & Bake Sale

This Friday (13th February) the Friends of Minehead First School have orangised 2 events for the children to celebrate Valentine Day.

On Friday we welcome all children to 'Wear what you love' for a non uniform day. Donations of £1 if you can.

We are also asking for donations of baked goods for a Bake Sale.
Donations can be bought in when you drop off in the morning. We will host the Bake Sale in the dining hall from 3.15pm.
