Job Title: SEND Support Practitioner

Hours: 20 hours per week
Working Pattern: 4 days per week, 9:00am–2:00pm
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Support Practitioner to join our supportive and welcoming team. This is a rewarding role for someone passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to thrive within our setting.

Key Responsibilities
Work with individual children and small groups within the setting
Support children to work towards SSP targets and targets set by other agencies
Liaise effectively with the child’s key person, parents/carers, and external professionals
Contribute to planning, monitoring, and reviewing children’s progress
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in line with setting requirements

Essential Qualities and Experience
Proven experience working with children with SEND (essential)
Flexible, committed, and reliable
Ability to work effectively as part of a large team
Strong record-keeping skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

tie coats and wipe a tear.
Who offer cuddles, laughter, songs,
to every child who’s near.

You share your time, your patience too,
your stories, smiles and play.
While little hands reach up for you,
throughout the busy day.

You’re building worlds with wooden blocks,
with muddy boots and art.
But most of all you’re building love,
inside each growing heart.

So today we celebrate you,
for all the quiet ways,
you give your care to many children,
across the passing days.

Because it takes a special mum,
with kindness deep and true,
to share her heart so freely,
with children not her own too. 💕

🌟 Grandparent Helpers Wanted at Cheeky Cherubs 🌟

At Cheeky Cherubs, our weekly visits to the care home have been such a joy. Watching the beautiful relationships grow between the children and residents has truly shown us how much these intergenerational connections benefit everyone involved. The laughter, stories, and shared moments bring so much to both generations — and we would love to build on this even further within our nursery.

We are now looking for Grandparent Helpers to join us!

Do you have a couple of hours free each week to volunteer your time and spend it with our wonderful children?

Do you have a skill, hobby, or passion you’d love to share?

This could include:

📖 Reading stories
🎨 Craft activities
🍰 Cooking or baking
🔨 Woodwork
🌱 Planting and gardening

Due to an increase in child numbers and future demand linked to the expansion of government-funded childcare, Cheeky Cherubs Nursery is delighted to be recruiting Nursery Practitioners to join our warm, supportive team.

⏰ Hours available
• 16 hours per week
• 24 hours per week
(Hours to be discussed at interview)

You will:
• Support children’s learning and development in line with the EYFS
• Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
• Work as part of a committed, collaborative team
• Support inclusive practice and children’s individual needs

✅ Essential requirements
• A caring, enthusiastic, and reliable approach
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare

🌟 Desirable
• Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (or working towards)
• Experience working in an early years setting
• Knowledge of the EYFS and child development
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn

🔐 Safeguarding
• This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check
