Sad news, June Bateman second from right in white trousers, passed away recently, funeral on 27th September at Luotn Crematorium. June was admin assistant for the Bedfordshire Hearing Impaired Service and is known by staff and pupils as cheery and welcoming. We shall miss her.

Many thanks to the City Lit staff team for making Deaf Day so successful and with such a positive and vibrant atmosphere too! Thanks also to the ABSLTA committee for joining in and we recruited several new members too!

Had a nice reunion, Nadia, Narain, Uma Nadarajan came to visit us in Tingrith. Tricia, June, Veronica and Sabia came too. Nadia, Narain, Veronica and Sabia (Deaf) used BSL, Uma, Tricia and June (hearing) used spoken English. Nadia was star of visit - such a well known actress in the Deaf community! Here are photos of us.
