Did you know? All proceeds from our Granola Bar project will be donated to charity and last week, our pupils chose between 3 charities and voted like a proper democracy!

Middleton School went with Mary’s Meals - pupils were passionate about supporting children the same age of themselves and the opportunity to have meals, especially since it links to making food products.

One pupil said “I want to create a bar that all children could eat and stop world hunger at schools!" - what a great attitude and incentive for our young entrepreneurs!

Holne Chase voted on Make a Wish and we found the pupil’s to be enthusiastic about making critically ill children’s dreams come true. One of the pupil’s had a dream to run a caravan park like no other and his mother said he should definitely join the workshop to give him the skills to pursue his business venture dream one day.

He said "I honestly love this club and I cannot wait to learn. Wouldn't it be amazing if one day I made enough money to give back to this charity and help those children most in need?”

We have real pupils with real dreams that, with the corect nurture like EduKate, they can 100% be achieved!

Week 2 = BRANDING COMPLETE!!

Our Granola Bar entrepreneurs have now finalised their brand names and logos!

After lots of planning, feedback, editing and improvements, they uploaded their designs into professional software and brought their brands to life.

The big takeaway? ✅Keep it simple. ✅Make it memorable. ✅Think like your customer.

I think you will agree, these young entrepreneurs absolutely nailed it! 👏

Which would you pick off the shelf??

Last week, for our Granola Project Week 1, we tackled Brand Design and Brainstorming!

Pupils explored what makes a strong brand name, how the best brands are memorable and clearly communicate what they sell whilst helping customers instantly understand the product or service.

We also developed one of the most important entrepreneurial skills - brainstorming! Whilst this is taught in many schools, we take it one step further as children are encouraged to write down every idea during the creative process. No matter how wild, silly or strange! Complete creative flow without the fear of judgement.

This is backed by research: Steven Kotler, State of Flow - the ability to access this makes your creative ability to naturally increase.

Once all ideas are on the page, pupils learn the next crucial step - critiquing and refining ideas, something we find is not often taught at this age! They use logic, critical thinking and discussion to evaluate and hone in on the strongest brand now!

From just one session, the pupil’s learned critical thinking, brainstorming, creative thinking, brand design, decision making, communication and entrepreneurial thinking!

I’m so excited to be teaming up with Gulliver’s Land for a truly unique real-world business project! 🎉

Over the course of the 10+ week programme, pupils will take on the challenge of re-designing the official Land of Lights logo and creating their very own professionally manufactured activity packs.

But it doesn’t stop there…

They’ll also take part in a five-week marketing course, learning about branding, promotion and how to bring a product to life. Then, they’ll put those skills into action at a real selling evening at Land of Lights, where they’ll interact with customers and put their sales pitches to the test!

The programme will finish with a special celebration event at Gulliver’s Land, where pupils will pitch their finished products to senior members of the Gulliver’s team, with parents invited along to celebrate everything they’ve achieved.

From the first idea to the final pitch, this is real business experience, real partnerships and real opportunities to learn by doing.

I can’t wait to see what these young entrepreneurs create!

I’m super excited to announce the next programme I’ll be working on, and this time we’re creating granola bars in collaboration with Fourteen Lakes Catering! 🎉

I’ll be running two different programmes, one for 7 weeks and another for 13, which will allow pupils to dive into the world of business, exploring everything from branding and market research to product design, advertising and much more.

And it doesn’t stop there! One school will also be planning their very own fundraising event, putting their ideas into action and experiencing what it’s really like to bring a product to life.

I can’t wait to share the journey with you, so keep an eye on my socials and follow along!

🏫 BACK TO SCHOOL! ✏️✨

For so many children, going back to school brings nerves, fear of the unknown and pressure to get things right.

But at EduKate, we live by one key philosophy: learning should be FUN. 💫

It’s okay to make mistakes. It’s okay to look silly. 🤪 It’s okay not to get it right the first time.

Because having the confidence to have a go, take risks, step outside your comfort zone and try again is just as important as getting the right answer. 💪🚀

So here’s a throwback to me and my mini apprentice attempting to record a video on profit and costs… 🤣🎥

And if you asked P whether he was nervous about coming back to EduKate this week? He’d probably roll his eyes. 🙄🤣
