To our new Reception Parents & Carers,

Congratulations on your little one’s first day at Newton Leys Primary School and Nursery!

We know what a massive milestone this is for us parents and carers so we wanted to give you something to help you get through those first day emotions. Hopefully we managed to catch most of you at one of the drop offs today. Everything is better with a cup of tea and a biscuit!

We also wanted to take a moment to introduce ourselves. We are the Parents, Teachers & Friends Association or “PTFA” at Newton Leys. We had a hugely successful year last year, raising over £10,000 across various events.

This money is used to advance the education of pupils in the school by engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils.

We have some big plans for the 26/27 school year. Of course, we cannot run these events without the support of our school community. If you are interested in being involved, no matter how little time you have to give, we would absolutely love to hear from you!

We have our first meeting planned for Wednesday 23rd September at 7pm at The Turing Key. Absolutely everyone is welcome - Carers/Mums/Dads/Grandparents/Aunts/Uncles/Friends/Neighbours...!

We look forward to seeing you all there.
