We are delighted to see one of our students making local news and featured by MKFM during her recent work experience placement.
As part of her time at the local radio station, Catarina was set a challenge to create and present her own guide to Milton Keynes for teenagers. Her article, “Milton Keynes Uncovered: One Teen’s Guide to the New City,” highlights popular places for young people to eat, socialise, and explore across the city.
Catarina demonstrated excellent communication skills, creativity, and a real understanding of what young people enjoy in Milton Keynes.
This is a fantastic example of students gaining real-world experience, building confidence, and sharing their voice within the community.

Although we didn’t capture many photos, our Year 9 trip to Milton Keynes Theatre to see To Kill a Mockingbird was a truly memorable experience.
All 45 students, alongside staff, were fully immersed in this powerful and thought-provoking production of Harper Lee’s classic novel. The performance sparked meaningful conversations and reflection, bringing the themes studied in class to life in an unforgettable way.
We are incredibly proud of how thoughtfully our students engaged with the play and represented the Academy throughout the visit!

Our Year 12 students recently visited Dentons MK expertly organised by Worktree.
During the visit, students explored a range of career pathways within the legal sector and gained valuable insight into application and interview processes. They had the opportunity to apply for a role, go through shortlisting, and take part in a mock interview experience – giving them a real taste of what to expect in the workplace.
Alongside this, students developed essential employability skills, including:
- How to confidently communicate their strengths;
- The importance of positive body language;
- Effective verbal communication techniques.
A fantastic and insightful experience for all involved – thank you to Dentons MK and Worktree for supporting our students in their future career journeys!

We bet you’ve also been wondering how the A Midsummer Night’s Dream trip to the Globe Theatre went… again, what a fabulous day we had with 80 of our Year 7 students!
Students enjoyed a live performance of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream in its original language, brought to life with a fun and modern twist!
The show was a huge hit with both students and staff, especially thanks to the brilliant audience participation throughout. Puck was definitely a fan favourite, particularly when he accidentally fell in love with our audience neighbour, Ian… who quickly became a star of the show himself!
Despite the traffic and the rain, everyone had an amazing time, and many of our staff are already planning return visits with their own families this summer. A wonderful cultural experience and a fantastic day all round!

Students were completely captivated by the world of Hawkins, enjoying the remarkable sets, incredible special effects, and outstanding performances from the talented cast.
We are incredibly proud of all the students who attended. Their behaviour was impeccable throughout the trip, and they were a true credit to our Academy, demonstrating excellent Character and Community spirit at all times.
