Tiny Steps Day Nursery & Pre School

Our wonderful Tiny steps team are busy doing what they do best as I caught a few snaps of them spending time and engaging with our special little people!
As we all know Staff interaction with children is vital because responsive, positive engagement shapes healthy brain development, builds emotional security and accelerates language and social growth. We are full aware that when we as adults show genuine interest and warmth, children feel safe to explore, learn and develop resilience.

This week at Tiny Steps we are celebrating Liam from the busy bees room who has just passed his Apprenticeship 🥳 Liam is now a level 2 qualified practitioner and we couldn’t be prouder of him! It’s been a long tough few months for him with a bunch of women guiding (nagging 🫣) him to finish his assignments and submit the work to his assessor and he done it all with a smile on his face! Well done Liam we are all very proud of you!!

I wanted to share just a few of the pictures that our families have sent to us from Graduation from last week 😁
We had such a lovely morning watching the children give their all for the performance that they have been practicing for, for what feels like weeks and they smashed it for sure!! Well done and Thank you to everyone who took part.
We will certainly miss the very confident class of 2026!

Leaping frogs having been enjoying their time out in the Garden this week as the pictures and smiles will tell ☺️
The gang have been on a bug hunt with their new resources and have managed to catch a spider! Clare is screaming on the inside, she’s not a massive fan of our 8 legged friends but the children were intrigued asking lots of question’s and really enjoyed taking a close look at what the spiders look like until we very kindly returned him to the outback we call leaping frogs garden!
I wonder what else they will find on there hunt?!

Today we celebrate Katie and her 5 years of service, over the years Katie has had the pleasure of working in all the different rooms and Its been a pleasure watching her go from strength to strength. Well done Katie and Thank you for all your hard work. ☺️

Our Little Ladybirds have been lapping up the sunshine this week as they explore in the garden, Its been a water splashing, bike riding, football playing, sand scooping kinda day everyday! Full of smiles as usual 😁

We are very excited to be taking part in mental health awareness next week by making an effort to wear anything Green on Thursday 14th May 🟢😊💚

We are looking forward to seeing how creative our staff and our Tiny steps families can be with "wear it green day"

any donations will be welcome to go towards the mental health foundation charity.

We wanted to say a massive well done to our kitchen team who always go above and beyond for the children and staff at Tiny steps! They were visited by the food hygiene inspectors and have once again received a 5 star rating 🤩
For the kitchen team this is as big as an ofsted inspection so when the door goes so do our hearts however they remained calmed and collective as they always do whizzing through the inspection with confidence!

Preschool have been making the most of the weather over the last week and preparing their garden with lots of pretty plants and flowers 🌷🪻🌺
They have really enjoyed helping with the digging and planting process using lots of real life resources.
