🚀 YARD:MK | COME AND SEE WHAT WE’RE BUILDING! 🚀

If you’re parenting, caring, supporting a SEND-betweener, you’ll know the territory…

Too mainstream for specialist.
Too specialist for mainstream.
School isn’t currently working.
Or your young person simply needs a different way to learn, connect and thrive. 💜

That’s one of the reasons we’re building Yard:MK.

A space for the SEND-betweeners, home educators, alternative learners and young people who need something a little different.

And it’s not just learning…

📚 Home education & tutoring
🎮 Gaming & immersive activities
🎨 Creative workshops
🤝 Socials & making friends
💻 STEM & enterprise
💼 Skills, work experience & future opportunities
🧠 Somewhere to learn, connect, decompress or simply be

But everyone is welcome.

Families, young people, home educators, schools, tutors, professionals, charities, businesses and anyone curious about what we’re creating in MK.

🎈 BALLOON ARCH WANTED! 🎈

We’re looking for a local balloon artist who might be able to help us with a balloon arch for Friday 9th October to welcome everyone to the launch of Yard:MK! 🥳

We’re a very small, mum-powered charity and, as you can imagine, our launch budget is tiny 😂. We absolutely don’t want to undervalue anyone’s time, creativity or work, so we’re not expecting anyone to work for free.

We’d just love to find someone who might be willing to work with our little charity budget, offer a community/charity rate 🐄💜🙏

The arch would be a lovely way to welcome families, young people, professionals and the wider MK community into the Yard for our opening evening. 🎈✨

📍 Yard:MK, Xscape Milton Keynes
📅 Friday 9th October
⏰ From 3pm

If you’re a balloon artist, know someone who is, or have a local business that might like to get involved, please comment, tag them or drop us a message.

We’d be incredibly grateful. ❤️

Small charity. Big plans. Lots of balloons, hopefully! 😂🎈

🦖💩 YES… THAT IS REAL DINO POO.

Welcome to the slightly bonkers, wonderfully immersive side of Yard:MK at The Spectrum Place. 🌌

Because learning doesn’t always look like sitting at a desk.

Sometimes it looks like…

🦖 Getting up close to real dinosaur poo
☄️ Holding real meteorites
🥽 Stepping into our VR Imagination Station
🌊 Exploring our immersive interactive room
🎮 Playing interactive games and experiences
🔬 Discovering real fossils, specimens and hands-on activities
🚀 Exploring worlds that you definitely won’t find in a textbook

And the best bit?

🎟️ ALL OF THIS FOR JUST £5 PER PERSON!

It’s designed to be fun, curious, hands-on and a little bit unexpected.

A place where children can explore without worrying about getting the answer “right”.

A place where teenagers can actually want to get involved.

A place where families can discover something together.

And yes… a place where you can casually say:

“Did you know that's actual dinosaur poo?” 😂

This is just one part of what we’re building at Yard:MK.

A space to learn.
A space to explore.
A space to connect.
A space to just BE.
