Launch opening of the Yard:mk

Friday 9 October, 3pm - 8:30pm at the Xscape Milton Keynes

A brand-new, inclusive community space created to bring children, young people, families and the wider Milton Keynes community together.

Developed by The Spectrum Place, The Yard:MK brings together inclusive activities, immersive experiences, creativity, STEM, gaming, sensory experiences, enterprise and community support under one roof.

It has been designed particularly with neurodiverse children and young people, SEND families and those who may struggle in traditional environments in mind, but everyone is welcome.

Inclusive Cycling - Free taster sessions

Date: Thursday 1st October
Times: 3:45-4:30pm or 4:30-5:15pm
Location: Stantonbury Athletic Track, MK14 6GB

The sessions are aimed at people with additional needs or disabilities who would like to become more active and enjoy cycling, but who may not be able to use a standard bicycle.

A range of adapted cycles and helmets will be available, including options for wheelchair users, all supported by experienced instructors.

It's a great opportunity to try something new, improve health and wellbeing, and enjoy some physical activity in a friendly and welcoming environment. And, of course, there will be tea, coffee and biscuits available too!

Do you provide unpaid care for a family member or friend? Support is available through the Carers Support Network, led by Citizens Advice Milton Keynes in partnership with Milton Keynes City Council and a range of specialist organisations.

The network works together to ensure carers can access the right support at the right time such as Information and advice, emotional support, peer connection, or specialist services tailored to their circumstances.

This service is for unpaid carers who look after a friend or family member due to illness, disability, mental health needs, addiction, neurodivergence, or age-related conditions.
