So how many hats do you wear in your business ?
It is true that as a business owner you will wear many hats doing all THOSE jobs of others.
One of the biggest blockages these business owners face is they are just too busy doing these jobs rather than actually running/developing their business.
One simple but overlooked method is to actually to outsource these roles by either employing more staff or get a Virtual Assistant..
By outsourcing you can typically get the task done quicker, better and cheaper in lost cases, leaving you to develop your business.
A typical example would be getting someone to do your marketing for you or maybe lead generation.
Remember . . . you are only one person and can only do so much on your own.
From my own personal experience, I had a problem outsourcing my leaflet distribution. It became an issue for my company due to a leaflet distribution company letting me down previously but taking my money but not doing the work. This therefore became a trust issue.
After 2 years and various sessions with a business coach I managed to resolved this issue almost immediately the business then went from strength to strength.
I had got so hung up on "working IN" the business rather than "working ON" the business.
Think about how you could FREE UP you time to actually spend on developing and running the business.

The Pareto Principle
🤔 HUH ? What on earth is the The Pareto Principle I hear you ask !
Well most people know it better as the 80/20 Rule.
The Pareto Principle as defined by Wikipedia:
"The Pareto Principle states that for many outcomes, roughly 80% of consequences come from 20% of causes"
When you start to look at the world we live in the principle appears everywhere.
Economics - 20% of the Richest people in a population own 82.7% of the income/wealth.
Software - 20% of Bugs cause 80% of software/system crashes.
Health & Safety - 20% of Hazards cause 80% of accidents.
Once you can grasp this principle, you can use it grow a business, increase you own efficiencies etc.
One of the the things I adopt is out of every hour, I dedicate 45 minutes to doing VERY FOCUSED work then have a 15 minute break - Wow you will be really surprised at the results on this one !
I used to use the Preto Principle (when I didn't really know about it back then) when I was in sales dealing with around 400 accounts. I would not waste time calling my top 60 accounts as they would call me several times a day.
I focused my attention on the other 80% to look for accounts that would be similar to my top 60 accounts and work on building up the relationship (I was top salesperson for the company 💰😊💰). I was always able to hit my ever increasing targets in both sales and profit targets because I was able to find these GEM 💎 accounts and bring them onboard.
Hey . . . Give it a go and try it. It does work ! 🤯
I now see the Pareto Principle everywhere, and because it recognise it quickly I can maximise on the benefits.

Think & Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill
Unless you are a hermit living in a cave in the most remote part of a mountain range, then you would have heard of this book. 🗻
As my opinion goes, I believe this is a must have/go to book for for ANYONE serious about business.
I have gone though it now 3 times (I listen via audiobook) and every time I have gotten something new from it.
Yes the book was written 90 years ago and the references/language is dated but take those references it uses like FORD, EDDISON & CARNAGIE and replace with STEVE JOBS, ELON MUSK & BILL GATES and you would think the book was written recently.
If you follow the steps it recommends then you and you business will benefit greatly.

BUSINESS COACH vs BUSINESS MENTOR
Let us first establish what the definition are:
BUSINESS COACH
A business coach is someone who can help/guide the business owner to lead their business to that level where they want to see their business. The Business Coach guides and assists the business owner by clarifying the vision of their business and how they can fit this into their personal goals.
Business Mentor
A business mentor is someone with more entrepreneurial business experience than you who serves as a trusted confidante over an extended period of time, usually free of charge. Many business mentors may advise people in order to develop their skills as a teacher, manager, strategist, or consultant
So which one is best suited for my business then?
It all depends upon what you goals/results you are looking for within your business.
In my honest opinion I would say that most business require both !
For day to day running and growth then I would suggest that the business coach would be a great place to start.
Typical frustrations that businesses face:
more time to spend with family as business is consuming their life
more sales and profits
Leadership and management issues
how to market themselves better and have a greater reach
affects your health (food, sleep, exercise etc)
With all these business frustrations and many others when combined, add so much extra stress to the already struggling business.
This is where a business coach is a perfect fit.
When people want to lose weight, drop body fat, build bigger muscles get fitter etc who do the look too ? The answer is YOU. As a coach you will guide these people to their fitness goals.
With this in mind what are you doing for your business ?
