🩵 Whitehouse are supporting Willen Hospice to raise much needed funds this week. They are Milton Keynes’ only adult Hospice, providing specialist palliative care for anyone over 18 who has a life-limiting illnesses or need end-of-life care. A fundraising pot will be in reception all week and for every donation you will receive a little furry blue monster

If you’re looking for something to do with the children in the last few days of the holidays then please do come along to this local event on the 27th August 🎉 a member of our staff has close links to the charity this family fun day will support and we’d love to invite the children of Whitehouse along to join the fun - with all proceeds going to charity. Activities include free arts and crafts and soft play for the little ones. A fire engine visit, licensed bar for the grown ups and lots more! 🩵

A huge well done to both our Whitehouse Primary School Dancing Teams who performed at the Royal and Derngate Theatre this evening.

What an amazing opportunity to dance on a huge stage to a full theatre audience!

Congratulations to Zeynep in Year 6 who won an award at the Westbury Arts Young Artist of the Year competition for her portrait of Harry Potter! We are super proud!

It was a fantastic opportunity to see all the finalists from both primary and secondary schools art work displayed in the gallery.

There was some incredible talent and creativity on display.

The Westbury Arts centre opened up their artist's studios which was fabulous to meet the different artists and see and talk to them about their work.

Well done to all our finalists - your work looked amazing! Zachary (Y4) we loved the creativity of your art work on your T-Shirts - they are awesome!

Congratulations to Venisha, Karina, Omar and Elnathan who were nominees for this years Milton Keynes Sports Awards.

Elnathan was a winner in the Sports Ambassador category and Venisha a winner in the Active Leader category.

Westbury Art Centre Artist of the Year
competition

We want to congratulate all the children that
took part in the Westbury Art Centre Artist of
the Year competition. As a school, we were
allocated 10 spaces for exhibition. It was a
tough selection as the entries were all
spectacular and we could see how much effort
the children had put into their artwork.
We would like to announce the children moving
forward to exhibition stage, where they will be
entered into the final stages of the competition.

Todays sports day was a hot one but we had so much fun!!!

Congratulations to WATER house - EYFS Sports Day Champions!!

All the children worked so hard to get as many points as they could for their house.

They also took part in their first competitive sprint races which was great to watch.

Thank you to parents and carers who came to cheer the children on - it was a fabulous atmosphere!!

A huge thank you to our Year 5 leaders today who supported the children with the events, keeping the scores and encouraging and motivating all the children - they did a fantastic job!

Fantastic effort and attitude from the whole team at the Milton Keynes Athletics competition. Lots of finals achieved, medals won and overall 2nd Place in the Large Schools Section. A fantastic achievement! .

Today some of our Whitehouse Primary Children took part in the Carnival of Colours Parade, immersing themselves in the vibrant world of art and culture as part of Milton Keynes Islamic Arts and Culture "Art in the Park" festival.

The children worked with artist, Simon Tipping to create wonderful Batik flags that they displayed throughout the parade. This year's Art in the Park theme is ‘Roots and Foundations' and the festival is supported by Arts Council England and Milton Keynes City Council.

We think the flags look amazing! Well done, Whitehouse Primary!

The beautiful spirit of Ramadan filled the hall last night at our first Whitehouse community Iftar. It was so lovely to join our muslim community and guests for the fast breaking meal which was held at sunset after the call to prayer.
It was a wonderful evening which brought people together from within our Whitehouse community to celebrate Ramadan. The food was absolutely delicious, there was great conversation and everyone really enjoyed themselves.
We hope that this is the first of many for Whitehouse school and it's community.

Our Youth Parliament representatives made us proud today as they represented Whitehouse in the first face to face IFTL Youth Parliament meeting with Mrs Bennett, our CEO.

The focus of the day was on sustainability and they have lots of ideas for us as a school and as a community that they will be sharing soon!
