What a fantastic day our Year 2 children had yesterday as they celebrated the end of Key Stage 1! π
They enjoyed lots of fun and games out on the field, making wonderful memories with their friends. To make the celebrations even more special, they were treated to a bouncy castle, which was a huge hit!
It's been a wonderful way to celebrate all of their hard work, achievements, and growth throughout Key Stage 1. We are so proud of every single one of them and know they are more than ready for their next exciting adventure in Key Stage 2.
Well done, Year 2 β what a brilliant way to end the year! ππ

π Our Final Spotlight of the year is on Reception! π
This term in EYFS, the children have had a fantastic time exploring, investigating and learning through a range of exciting activities.
Children have enjoyed developing their understanding of maps and direction using Beebots, working together to solve problems and creating their own maps of the school. πΊοΈ
They also loved carrying out experiments linked to The Gingerbread Man which encouraged the children to make predictions, investigate and share their ideas about what they discovered. π
The introduction of our weekly 7 Challenges has been a great success, with the children showing increasing independence, confidence and perseverance as they challenge themselves and celebrate their achievements.
The warm weather has also provided wonderful opportunities for outdoor learning, with the children exploring water play, using water pumps and investigating how water flows. π¦
These experiences have encouraged curiosity, cooperation and scientific thinking while having lots of fun.
We also thoroughly enjoyed taking part in Sports Day, where the children demonstrated excellent teamwork, enthusiasm and determination. It was lovely to see them cheering each other on and celebrating one another's successes. π
Over the last week, we will be learning about art galleries and famous artists. The children will have the opportunity to explore a variety of artworks, discuss their ideas and opinions, and create their own pieces inspired by well-known artists, developing their creativity and appreciation of art. π©πΌβπ¨ πΌοΈ π¨ βοΈ
