Music Heronsgate School š¼
There has been a lot going on with music at Heronsgate!
Our talented Year 4 brass players took part in the WCET Jamboree Tuesday morning, at The Ridgeway Centre, performing alongside children from schools across the area. It was a wonderful opportunity for them to showcase their hard work, build confidence and experience performing. They represented our school brilliantly with enthusiasm and pride. We are so proud of all they have achieved!
Then, Tuesday afternoon, our wonderful KS2 choir had the opportunity to perform alongside pupils from other local schools at The Ridgeway Centreāand what an experience it was!
The children truly shone, showcasing all their hard work, commitment and love of singing. It was so special to hear their voices come together as part of a much larger ensembleāan unforgettable musical moment for everyone involved. A definite highlight was when Mrs Walton and Bella (Captain Karate) went on stage as piratesābringing lots of smiles, energy and a real sense of fun to the performance!
We are so proud of every single pupil who took part. Their enthusiasm, teamwork and confidence made the event a real success.

Last week marked the final round of fixtures for our fantastic Year 3 & 4 girlsā football team.
I have been incredibly fortunate to be part of this teamās journey over the past two years. When many of these players first started last year, they faced a number of challenges and found their league campaign tough. However, rather than letting those setbacks define them, they used them as motivation to improve. Through hard work, determination, and resilience, every single player has contributed to the remarkable progress this team has made.
We were also delighted to welcome new additions to the squad this year, including Gabi and Isabella, who embraced every challenge with enthusiasm, commitment, and a positive attitude from day one.
Today was a celebration of just how far this team has come. Finishing as qualifiers in the second of four groups across the whole of Milton Keynes is a tremendous achievement and a testament to the dedication, teamwork, and perseverance shown throughout the season. It is something every player should be immensely proud of -I certainly am.

On Wednesday, some of our Year 6 football team had the fantastic opportunity to play on the pitch at Stadium MK.
It was a brilliant morning of football, with our boys competing against a number of teams and players they had previously faced during their league campaign in September. It was particularly pleasing to see how much they have developed, not only as footballers but also as ambassadors for the school. Throughout the morning, they demonstrated excellent sportsmanship, showing respect by congratulating opponents in victory and offering encouragement in defeat.
Experiences like these are a wonderful reward for the hard work, commitment and enthusiasm the team has shown throughout the year.

š„Many of you may know Heronsgate's very own Taekwondo superstar, Amanda. She has a fantastic opportunity to go to the European Championships this September, and her family need help getting her there, accommodation and covering the costs of extra equipment and training. Any donations, sharing the link or support you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
