Congratulations to all of our pupils who took part in the Beachborough Cross-Country Run yesterday. A special well done to our U13 boys who won the Senior Boys’ team event: a fantastic achievement as we have not won this since 1998!!

We were fortunate enough to have Rhian Tracey visit our Year 7&8 pupils this morning, for a writing workshop on 3D characters. They discovered how characters from her book "the boy who drew the future" came to life and what went into the creation of them. 📖
We are delighted to invite all members of the Swanbourne House Community to attend a Service of lessons and carols to be held on Thursday 8 December at 5pm in Stowe Chapel. The Service brings together Stowe, Wi******er House and Swanbourne with choirs from all three schools and a Brass Quintet from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. We very much hope that you will be able join us to celebrate the Advent season with this special service. Refreshments will be served after the Carol service in the Sixth Form Centre.

Yesterday afternoon some of our pupils took part in our annual Steeplechase during their PE lessons. Well done to all pupils who braved the murky water and a big thank you to Mr Poulton who designed our unique steeplechase water obstacle! 🏃

One of our popular enrichment activities is Karate Lessons that are taught by Sensei Peter. In these lessons important emphasis is on traditional karate skills, including blocks, punches strikes and kicks performed while in various karate stances.🥋
Our year 2 pupils recently had the opportunity to visit Holdenby House, to support some of their learning this term 🧹
One of the Saturday enrichment options that we offer, is the Sports Scholarship and Sports Mentoring session which is led by our Director of Sport Miss Levermore. Aimed at pupils who have been awarded a sports scholarship or aspire to secure a sports scholarship at their desired senior school. These sessions support the advancement of many key components of fitness necessary to excel in sport through conditioning and exercising the body in order to increase their own personal health related and skill related elements of fitness. Pupils also have fun exploring a sport that is not currently delivered in the Physical Education Curriculum, with this term being Volleyball.🏋️
Yesterday during afternoon sport, our Year 5 to 8 pupils took part in house hockey matches! 🏑
There is currently a selection of books from our library on display, for our pupils to explore the theme of 'Reaching Out'.
Our Wellbeing prefects have been collecting donations today in aid of odd socks day as part of Anti Bullying Week. There have been some amazing combinations on display, and it is amazing to see all the support from both staff and pupils!🧦
Yesterday our year 7 pupils got the opportunity to visit Bletchley park, to learn more about the allied code breaking that took place during the Second World War

Our Year 8 students have been learning about James I and the witch trials during their history lessons. They have been involved in their own adaptation of the witch trials, investigating whether some members of staff are guilty or not guilty!! 🧙♀️

Year 2 have been attempting team building exercises in todays outdoor learning lesson 🌲
As part of our Saturday Enrichment programme some of our students have been visiting the local rifle range to discover shooting techniques, whilst also developing their aim. Alongside this they have also been learning the appropriate gun safety and handling techniques. 🎯
We recently had a visit from Barry as a part of The Punctuation Show. It was a very enjoyable and interactive way for our students to learn all about punctuation!
