Another busy week here at Broughton Manor!

Day 5 - our penultimate day on the slopes. Just perfect!

In D&T, the children in Year 5 were given the brief to create a moving toy with a view to raising awareness of the plight of endangered animals. Using their own designs, the Year 5 children made the structures and created cam mechanisms linked to lever and linkage mechanisms to create amazing moving animals. They had a brilliant time sharing their finished toys with the children in Year 2!

Day 4 - what a beautiful day in Les Menuires! The progress we have witnessed over the last 4 days has been phenomenal. Plus even more fresh snow! ❄️

This week in Year 1, we have been learning all about Chinese New Year. We began by thinking of some facts about China, and then enjoyed an arts and crafts afternoon making lanterns and dragon puppets. We had a special visitor, Charlotte’s mummy, who helped us to make our fabulous good luck banners. We had the best afternoon and learnt so much; thank you Charlotte’s mummy! If you are celebrating this festival we hope you have a lovely time!

Day 3 - Another fun day on the slopes and Apres Ski fun at Space Mountain!
