Childminder in Milton Keynes My name is Claire and I live with my husband Gary in Shenley Brook End and we have a son called Alexander who is at school.

We live in a 3 bedroom linked detached house in a quiet cul de sac and are non smokers. We have a cat and goldfish. I have a clean driving licence and have my own car. My husband is a photocopy technician and works full time. Although Gary is out of work all day he is very supportive and will help when ever is needed to keep the house safe for the children. I have also been a working mum and used

childcare for my son so I understand the importance of finding the right childcare and the importance of flexibility, reliability and reassurance. When I left college I nannied for a few years but circumstances changed and I went into office work. I had the opportunity to change my career path, so I chose to go back to childcare. I believe passionately that childhood is a time for fun, laughter and learning. I therefore will provide the children with plenty of opportunities to play, explore and learn through a variety of stimulating and interesting activities and experiences. I am an active person and believe that outdoor play is essential. I will take the children out which will include walks in the woods, playground's, local green for ball skills and feeding the ducks at the local lake which is a few minutes walk away. I will provide trips to the library for story time and visits to toddler groups so the children can interact with other children which I believe is important for their development. I have a nice child friendly garden which consists of grass and patio. Indoor activities will include arts and crafts, messy play, cooking, dressing up, puzzles, play dough and other toys for all age groups for free play. I have had lots of experiences with looking after cildren in the past. I nannied for 4 yrs with 2 different families. I have done lots of babysitting in the past for children aged from babies to teens. I helped my mum run a local Brownie group and took them out for day trips and weekends away, aswell as lots of arts and crafts and educational projects. I have also helped help in my sons classroom with their reading and other activities when needed. My working hours are 8am - 5pm

Monday - Friday

I am flexible with my hours so if these do not meet your needs please contact me to discuss them. I can drop off and pick up from Caroline Haslett School in Shenley Lodge

End of term fun.
We've been in the woods hunting for bears & had a teddy bears picnic, which the children loved. Lots of fun at dobbies soft play and a fab time at willen Lake
We've also been doing lots of colouring and sticking in the afternoons

It's very hot today and decided to stay home and have a chill day. I set up the garden so the children could free flow from inside & outside before it got too hot. The children loved watering the plants.
After lunch we've stayed inside relaxing and trying to stay cool away from the sun 😎 🧢

It's been awhile since I posted but we're still here & been enjoying the lovely weather.
Here's a few things we've been up to recently.

We've been enjoying the sun this week & going on lots of walks to explore the local area. We've been using all our senses by listening to the birds, using our noses to smell the cut grass & using our eyes to look for blossom trees.

School holidays and we've had a couple of nice chilled days so far. We've visited Karen and played with the dolls & we've also had a peppa pig afternoon
