What a fantastic performance by years 5 and 6! Thanks to the amazing year 6 film crew, DVDs/Digital downloads of the performance are available to order now through ParentPay. Don't forget to put your order in before end of term

For those coming to watch Y5/6 performances on Tuesday and Wednesday evening, Friends of School will be serving refreshments, so do bring along some cash to treat yourselves and the children!

A big 'Thank You' for supporting our ice-cream sales over the past few weeks. Our last sale was due to be today, but the weather got the better of us. If you're attending the year 5/6 performances next week we'll be selling off our last stock, so do treat yourselves. You never know, if there's some sunny weather in September we may just get the freezer out again!

We’ll be giving away (yes, no charge!) the rest of our non logo preloved uniform at Saturday’s village garage sale. Pop by the Scout gazebo opposite the butchers between 10 and 2 to pick up trousers, skirts, dresses and shorts for next term!

Don’t forget it’s non school uniform tomorrow, £1 donation to the school. Then on Monday it’s the bake sale!

We’re back in the playground tomorrow after school - looks like a hot one so don’t forget some cash!

Tea-towels have arrived!! They should be making their way to you this week and we hope you love them as much as we do. We do have a limited number of spares available at £5 each. Thanks to your continued support, (including still buying ice-creams from us in the drizzle on Friday), we are able to pay for outdoor play items such as the brilliant new play shelter for Foundation. We hope the children enjoy many happy playtimes pretending to sail a pirate ship or wherever their imagination takes them. We're planning to be back on the playground on Friday again with ice-creams and giving away our non branded pre-loved uniform stock - see you then!

REMINDER - FROZEN FRIDAY TOMORROW. Don't forget to bring some change to treat the kids and yourselves! We'll be out on the playground with the freezer from 3.15 - see you there

This Friday at pick up... as per email from the school today we are stopping selling pre-loved non logo uniform (with the exception of PE shorts), so we'll be emptying out our cupboard on Friday for you to stock up on uniform. Prices 50p or £1. Please send money in with children if you won't be at Sports Day - all profits to the school's outdoor play fund

Last call for Tea-Towel orders!! Available through ParentPay until the end of this week, so don't delay as you'll miss out

We've been invited by the Village Show & Fete team to raise money for school by selling Ice Lollies and Cold Drinks on Saturday 2nd September at Hammond Park.

Could you help out and potentially be the most popular people on the field?

We'd need people from 12.30 - 3.30pm, you wouldn't need to be there the whole time if we can get a few of us together.

Please get in touch with us if you can by either commenting below, popping us a private message or chatting to Erica Stevens or Julie Dimmock

We hope you've all had a great half term and have been enjoying the sunshine - don't forget tomorrow is an inset day, so first day back isn't until Tuesday!

“A truly great head teacher is hard to find, difficult to part with & impossible to forget”. After a truly emotional leavers assembly this afternoon, the children and staff have said their final goodbyes to our well loved Mrs White… singing her favourite songs, and presenting her with some special well earned rewards… She even leaves with “Values Champion” of the term!!

On behalf of Friends of Newton Longville C of E Primary School We give a massive thank you to all the families and school community that contributed to the online collection.. together a massive £450 was raised and put into John Lewis vouchers for her to go and treat herself as well as a memory bear that she will treasure forever… 🥰 SO!… While she goes and jumps in all the muddy puddles she can find, We wish all the families, students, staff, parents and carers a very safe and happy Easter break 🐰 Take care 🐰

What a couple of amazing performances from years 3 and 4 over the past two days! Parents, don’t forget to order your DVD or digital download of the big event, available through ParentPay now

If you’re coming to watch Jonah A Fishy Tail tomorrow or Thursday, do bring some cash for refreshments! See you then

From The School:

Years 3 and 4 are really looking forward to their performances next week. We are not selling tickets but are instead asking for donations on the door.

Just a reminder that the show times are -

Wednesday 29th March at 2pm

Thursday 30th March at 6pm -

Please could all children return to school at 5.30pm on Thursday. This will give us enough time to get the children changed and ready to start the performance at 6pm. Friends of School will be selling refreshments for you at each performance in the school dining room.
