Born 5000 miles away and a decade too late to appreciate LA’s 80’s music scene in person, Adam has to get his kicks by donning that dodgy wig and dusting down his trusty BC Rich Gunslinger... that’s right! he's doing 80s hair metal again (the best music genre ever invented!) again for this Solo Sunday. This time he’s playing Steve Lynch's solo from Autographs hit song, Turn up the radio. Incidentally, this solo won Steve the Guitar Solo of the Year Award from Guitar Player Magazine in 1985! Rightly so as the whole solo is awesome but how cool is the two handed tapping section? Great stuff!

It’s Solo Sunday time again! Last week was Iron Maiden and its another classic metal band this week as Adam’s doing Judas Priest. The two bands have something in common that was crucial to their success which was excellent guitarist partnerships - Dave Murray/Adrian Smith from Iron Maiden - KK Downing/Glen Tipton from Judas Priest. This song - Before the Dawn’ is one of ‘Priests’ more mellow tracks (using a pointy guitar is still mandatory though) and has some really nice playing by KK Downing.

We’re back….admittedly, its been a while!! We’ve been working on some cool stuff behind the scenes and the next thing you know the last video was ages ago! We’re getting things started again with some good ‘ol Solo Sundays and why not kick off with Adam playing another classic from Iron Maidens’ Adrian Smith, the ‘metal’ master of taste and style. This awesome solo builds up to a climatic ending and is a lesson on how to create a solo with the right amount of technique and tasteful phrasing that compliments the song perfectly.
