Operating as usual
Our very first wine tasting afternoon is set for the 22nd June 3-6pm.
We will be focusing on introducing the Merlet family on this afternoon where we take a journey to the south of France.
A family with over 400 years history has been working the land in the Languedoc-Roussilion region producing solid single variety wines that are easily accessible and very food friendly as their aim was always to find space for their bottles in different local and international restaurants wine list.
We cannot guarantee a yacht to cruise down the Grand Union Canal all the way to St Tropez but we will also introduce you to a super premium Provence Rosรฉ as the highlight of the event.
Each wine includes guidance from our expert, accompanied with enough wine tasting notes to seriously impress at your next dinner party.. During the session we will cover 6 different wines, if any tickle your taste buds you will be able to make a purchase on the day.
The cost is ยฃ35pp which will also include a grazing board.

Weโve all heard of tapas โ and probably eaten tapas on holiday in Spain. But do you know where the word comes from?
The word โtapasโ is derived from the Spanish verb โtaparโ, meaning โto coverโ or โto lidโ. Tapas are small dishes, often served as appetizers, that are traditionally served with Spanish wine.
The word โtapasโ is also used to refer to the Spanish custom of enjoying a small meal or snack with friends.

Santa Claus just sent us a review of the Indian class that he attended. Heโs had his fill of mince pies and sherry over the festive period and wanted something a bit more interesting.
As you can see from the picture, he has started putting his new curry-making skills to work at home. Probably best not to wear the full outfit for curry night, though!

This is a brilliant activity - not only do you learn to cook, but you sample your cooking and meet some lovely people.
We have been lucky enough to do to Italian, Mexican and Indian cooking events and they have all been fabulous.

Rating. There were new points picked upon that were not mentioned on the previous 2 visits.
1. The safe food manual has to be fully completed in all sections even if you keep all your fridge temps and cleaning records in a separate folder. You need to write refer to folder ๐ค.
2. The weekly diary and 4 weekly diaries need to also be completed. My business is not open for courses every day. Therefore, on admin day's I should be writing admin days.
3. Dishes and their allergen content are needed for each menu item.

A truly unique experience to make and enjoy a demo with Papi's Cocktails!
If you can't resist recreating all those tasty, hand-held dishes you ate standing up near a food truck or stall, we've got street food recipes that you can now make from scratch and eat straight away. There will be 3 different cuisines to experience plus a cocktail demo and drink. You will spend around 30 minutes in each cuisine with an experinced chef making the dish. The chef will take you through a step by step guide as you follow and make your own street food. Once you have made your dish you will be able to eat what you have made! There will be a short break to give you time to get a drink and eat. During this time we will be setting up for the next cuisine. This will be repeated 4 times until you have sampled all 3 cuisines plus Papi's cocktails.
Indian
Freshly made samosas take this samosa chaat to another level. The samosas are stuffed with a classic spicy potato and green pea filling and then topped with tangy chutney, yoghurt, mango powder, coriander and sev.
Mexican
Skirt or flank steak is eaten a lot in America and in France, but hardly at all here in the UK. This is madness, as it is so much cheaper than any other sort of steak and so rich in flavour. I think what has put people off in the past is that, in Britain, it has been cooked in low and slow braises, which turns it into shoe leather. Bavette is the external part of the skirt (onglet being the internal connecting tissue) and all you need to do is cook it well. We will show you how to make a great Taco using this very under stated peice of meat, with some fresh guacamole and pickled red onions.
Thai
Surprisingly easy to make, these Thai-style potsticker dumplings have a tasty chicken/ pork/ prawn filling; served with a tangy dipping sauce, theyโre irresistibly moreish.
