💛🌟 Hello Yellow for World Mental Health Day! 🌟💛

On Friday 9th October, we will be supporting the 💛 Hello Yellow 💛 campaign for the mental health charity Young Minds.

👕🟡 Pupils and staff are invited to wear yellow clothing and/or accessories as part of an optional non-uniform day.

The campaign helps to show young people that they are not alone with their mental health while raising vital funds to support the incredible work of Young Minds. 💛

🌈 We would also like to signpost families to the Young Minds website, which is packed with helpful advice, guidance and resources for supporting children's mental health: 👉 https://youngminds.org.uk/

💷 If you would like to make a donation to support this fantastic cause, please send your child in with £1 cash on the day.

🌟 Year 1 Update 🌟
In their R.E. lesson today, the children in Year 1 were visited by Peter, the minister from Whaddon Way Church. Peter set us a quiz to identify everyday signs and symbols. We then looked more closely at Christian symbols and learnt more about the symbols of the ✝️ cross, fish 🐟 and manger. We loved seeing the artefacts that were brought in and having the chance to ask our questions about Christianity.

⭐️Year 3⭐️

Todays learning was all about collaboration, communication, and taking responsibility! 🌟

The children worked together in teams to complete a fun STEM challenge — using only spaghetti, tape and marshmallows to build the tallest, strongest tower they could. 🍝🗼

It was fantastic to see them sharing ideas, solving problems, taking on different responsibilities and supporting one another. Lots of creativity, teamwork and a few wobbly towers along the way! 😊

A great hands-on learning experience where the children discovered that working together really can make a difference! 💡🤝

🌟 Reception Junk Modelling plea 🌟
Next week Reception will be getting creative by junk modelling! Please could you send in any clean, empty cardboard boxes, kitchen rolls, tubes, yoghurt pots, bottle tops and fabric.
Big cardboard boxes would also be appreciated as we are hoping to make some vehicles together!

⚽️ Year 6 P.E. Change 🏀
Due to staff training, P.E. days for Y6 need to change for the following 2 weeks. Y6 children will have P.E. on Wednesday rather than Friday for the next two weeks. On Wednesday 7th October and Wednesday 14th October, children will need to come to school in their P.E. kits. This is only a temporary change.
