🔎 CSI Chestnuts Day 🔍
What a great day Chestnuts have had today!
The children have used their forensic skills to identify the person who took the sports day trophy and it has been returned to it's rightful place.

The culprit was successfully identified as... Miss Aitken! She wanted to take the trophy home to give it a good clean before sports day next week. But when she found out that the police had been contacted, she was too scared to say anything in case she got in trouble.
PC Lee and PCSO Sarah had a chat with Miss Aitken and spoke about the importance of always being honest and she said sorry.

A massive thank you to PC Lee and PCSO Sarah for helping the day come alive for our children, the suspects for being interrogated and Miss Aitken for taking on an Oscar worthy performance!

More science fun tomorrow with the planetarium coming and our annual 'Science Extravaganza' after school 3.30-5.00.

We will be hosting our annual 'Science Extravaganza' where the Chestnuts community will be invited to come into school and take part in all thing's Science.

😋 Cereal Box Domino Rally 😋

We are excited to announce a fun and creative whole-school event that will be taking place on 13th July – a Cereal Box Domino Run!

Our aim is to create a spectacular domino-style run using cereal boxes around our playground for pupils to watch and enjoy.

To make this event a success, we kindly ask for your support by donating any unopened boxes of cereal you may be able to spare.

How you can help? Please send in any unopened cereal boxes with your child in the coming weeks. All donations, big or small, are greatly appreciated and will help us build our impressive domino trail.

What happens next?
Once the domino run has taken place:
All cereal boxes will be available to purchase after school for 50p per box. Any cereal boxes not sold will be donated to a local food bank, supporting families in our community.

All money raised from the event will go towards our Air Ambulance Appeal, helping to fund this vital life-saving service.

We hope this will be an exciting and memorable event for our pupils, while also supporting important causes both locally and nationally.

CSI Chestnuts (science day) has begun! The children were shocked to arrive to school this morning and hear the news that the Sports Day trophy had been taken! 😉

The police are appealing to the children of Chestnuts to use their forensic skills to investigate who may have taken the trophy.

Children across the school are very engaged in this assignment. Here are two videos which have been shared with the children.

On behalf of the organisers, we are pleased to share an invitation to the Milton Keynes Great Get Together, 10am-2pm, 27th June at Camphill.

"This will be a community picnic inspired by The Great Get Together, the UK-wide celebration of community, connection and the things that bring us together. The event was created in memory of Jo Cox MP and is rooted in her powerful belief that we have more in common than that which divides us.

"The afternoon will be family-friendly and open to all. It will be a chance for local residents, schools, colleges, faith groups, charities, voluntary organisations, public bodies, parish councils, community groups and local businesses to come together, meet one another and celebrate the people and organisations that make Milton Keynes such a strong and welcoming city.

"As this is a community picnic, we encourage people attending to bring their own food and, where they are able to, to bring a little extra to share with others. We hope this will help people meet new neighbours, start conversations and build connections across the community."
