π Calling all hoarders... this is your time to shine! π
Miss Jarman is the History Lead at school and is trying to build up a collection of resources that we can use in our history lessons.
Before we spend a fortune in charity shops and on eBay, we thought we would see if anyone has anything tucked away in a loft, garage or cupboard that they don't want anymore.
We are looking for things like...
π» Old radios, record players, cassette players, Walkmans, VHS players, DVD players, old TVs, telephones, brick phones, flip phones, old mobile phones, typewriters, telephone directories...
π§Έ Old toys (especially pre-2000), teddy bears, dolls, wooden toys, board games, toy soldiers, vintage children's books and old school photos.
π‘ Suitcases, old coins, maps, postcards, stamps, newspapers, photographs, letters, diaries, calendars, tickets, recipe books, vintage clothing or household items.
ποΈ WWII bits such as gas masks, ration books, identity cards, medals, uniforms, wartime letters or photos, 1940s newspapers, Home Front items, old suitcases and WWII books.
..or honestly anything you think children would find interesting!
Whether it's something you'd like to donate or you're happy for school to borrow, we would be so grateful. It would make such a difference to the children being able to actually handle real objects rather than just seeing pictures.
If you think you've got anything, pop it into our school office, or get it to Miss Jarman. It is amazing what people have hidden away in their lofts!
Thank you! β€οΈ
