🍰KS2 Bake Off Winners🧁
Well done to everyone that took part in the bake off for Key Stage 2. Our winner was Cookie with helicopter, with butterfly and Save Lives cakes coming runners up. All cakes were amazing! Don't forget there is a cake sale today in the hall for cakes that are left.

Our Seedlings and Saplings have been growing their brains so much since coming back after half term! 🧠✨
We have been so busy! From:
🐛 Making papier-mâché and salt dough minibeasts
🐷 Building a 'sturdy' house for the Three Little Pigs
🍭 Using our imaginations in 'Candyland'
🧚♀️ ...to making magic wands for the 'Sugar Plum Fairy'! ✨

🧁 KS2 Bake off and cake sale total 🍰
Tonight, we raised £117 at the KS2 Bake Sale! Thank you to everyone who baked cakes, came and bought them and who purchased a joke book as well. We have some cake left over which will be on sale after school tomorrow (Wednesday 10th June) in the hall. If you fancy coming to see what we have, please pop along!

🧁 Bake off and cake sale 9th June! 🎂
Chestnuts Bake Off – KS2 (Years 3-6) 9th June – bring cakes in in the morning. Judging and selling after school. All welcome. If you would like to donate shop bought cakes to supplement the cake sale, that would be great. Thank you.
Ks1 and EYFS, please feel free to come to the judging and cake sale tomorrow even though you are not baking.
Remember that all proceeds go to the Air Ambulance Service.

📢 Year 3 Parent Notice 📢
Dear Parents and Carers,
For an upcoming Art activity, all Year 3 pupils will need to bring in a cardboard box.
✅ What to bring:
One empty cereal box or similar
Must be thin cardboard (easy to cut with school scissors)
⚠️ Important safety information:
The box must NOT have previously contained nuts or nut-based products
Please check the ingredients carefully before sending it in
🚫 Not suitable:
Thick cardboard boxes (e.g. Amazon/delivery boxes)
🗓️ Deadline:
Please ensure your child brings their box into school by Wednesday 17th June
✂️ These will be used in Art lessons where pupils will cut and create templates.

😂Chestnuts Joke Book😂
If you have already expressed interest in purchasing, please send the money in witn your child.
We have been gathering a range of different jokes from the children at Chestnuts to create a Chestnuts Joke Book in order to raise money for the Air Ambulance. We have compiled this and are now ready to launch it!
If you would like to purchase a copy (or copies) of this book, please complete the expression of interest form and send your child into school with the correct money. The joke books will then be printed and sent home for you. We hope you enjoy reading them and following the Chestnuts Way: Have Fun!
