Hello 👋 sorry for going quiet on here, there have been some changes in the business. We are therefore going into hibernation mode here at Little Muddy Boots Milton Keynes! Centipedes are fascinating! Both centipedes and millipedes belong to the subphylum Myriapoda, although there are many differences! Centipede means '100 foot' in Latin, but despite the name, no centipede has exactly 100 pairs of legs. They can have a varying number of legs, ranging from 15 pairs to 191 pairs, always an odd number! Each pair of legs is longer than the pair in front. This ensures the centipede doesn't trip over its own legs!
