Leadership is not you as the leader, it’s always about those around you.

Also, gotta love a buffalo flipping a tortoise back on its feet to the sound of cheers and adoring fans, whilst the buffalo flaps it’s ears and wiggles it’s horns with just a little bit of pride. 😊

But truly when leaders help others and do solely without gain, when they will get nothing from it, that’s when they are show their true worth, that’s when animals often show us true leadership

Know your worth, as leaders we invest in our people, we help them progress, pursue greatness, build confidence and learn to be their best.

So be proud when they leave, fly the nest, move on, understand that the reflection this has on you as a leader is that you are the strength that is stable enough for them to catapult themselves upwards, without you, their foundation would not have been solid enough for them to grow with such strength that they could leap so far.

It’s not disloyal, it’s what is meant to be. They are making room for the next person to come in that you can help to challenge themselves and grow and develop.

Not just the high flyers, the ones that achieve great stats or make us look good, or the most likeable, but ‘everyone’, when you can truly say you care about the success of everyone on your team, you’re a real a Leader

Not everyone, can truly say this, and truly mean it.

Every single apprentice that joins my program, becomes part of my team and I am 100% invested in their success, their EPA, the completion of their development or their happiness, whatever their success may look like, for them, becomes a goal for me.

What was often seen as disruptive or absent minded in school, turns out to be my leadership skills at work, they’re my creative thinking and problem solving parts of my brain working

Although I can blame many things on not being taught it at school, I am also very Self-Aware that I chatted my way through senior school, and accept responsibility for a least one full grade due to talking (at least)

A lovely lunch today with a work buddy Natalie Oliver, putting the worlds to right and talking future plans, what better way to spend the afternoon.

Having a working lunch to talk about plans, goals and all things strategies over tapas can only mean success

The only cause that should ever be questioned

When you’re a leader in the workplace, you’re accountable for making sure your team are safe, the biggest thing you can do is create an environment where they feel safe to come and speak to you, if they feel threatened by others.

You don’t have to protect them in every way, you can’t stop all the horrible things from happening, but you can create an environment where your team can come to you because they’re scared, threatened, worried etc THAT has the chance to stop anything else from developing.

Sexual assault happens because someone thinks they can get away with, you make it known, that in your area, they won’t.

THAT is how it stops.

However hard it might be to turn the page, you’ll never know what adventure awaits you, if you just re-read the same story over and over.

The most honest reflection of life I’ve seen in a while 😊

Tiredness = dreams, sounds like a negative but it’s not.

Tiredness when when you’ve been working towards something important, reflects the importance

Tiredness that = burn out IS a negative.

Dreams do not burn you out, they light you up.

If it’s scary, it’s worth it.

I can assure you, having the belief in yourself to keep going when fear is trying to convince you not too, will lift you for longer.
