Forest School offers an ‘outstanding’ Early Years provision for children aged 12 months to 5 Years in our 3 Pre-School rooms, which include our Panda Room (1-2 years), our Zebra Room (2-3) years and our Giraffe Room (3-4 years). We are an independent Charity organisation with a Parent Management Committee, registered with Ofsted and are members of the Early Years Alliance. We accept all childcare vouchers and are able to offer both 2 year and 3-4 year Government nursery education funding for our Early Years children in our Zebra and Giraffe Rooms, which can be used during term time for both Pre-School hours or Wrap around care. Toddington Childcare & Forest School operate for 50 weeks of the year and offer a holiday club provision out of term time between the hours of 9am until 3pm for children aged 2 to 9 years. We proudly became a Forest School in 2017 and are able to offer our Early Years children a full Forest School Programme to enhance our children’s outdoor learning experiences and discover the awe and wonder of the world around them. In addition to our Forest School programme we also continue to run our successful ‘Lift Off to Language’ Programmes for 2’s and 3-4’s to support the building blocks to our children’s communication and language development. In September 2019, we introduced our popular multi sports ‘Teddy Tennis’ sessions, to help promote active and healthy lifestyles for our Early Years children in both our Zebra and Giraffe Room. We are accredited to run a ‘MySmile’ programme in our Giraffe Room (3-4 years) which includes daily supervised tooth brushing activities to promote our children’s learning in oral hygiene and also promote the Central Beds ‘Readiness for School’ 16 ticks to learning in our older Giraffe Pre-school Room. All of our programmes are inclusive for all children in our care.
