Our Zebra 🦓 Room children have enjoyed a busy and varied couple of weeks learning about different faiths, festivals and Charity days.
During this time we have celebrated Mothers Day, 🩷 St.Patrick’s Day, 🇮🇪 🍀Eid Mubarak ⭐️🌙 and finished this week with a wonderful Red Nose Charity Day. 🔴🥳

Our children have also enjoyed lots of physical play and fun in the sunshine outside in the Zebra garden and Forest school area.🌳☀️

We started with a Healthy Movers session playing parachute games together with Spring themed ring games and singing counting rhymes, including ‘5 Little Ducks.’🦆😍 In week two, we learned to play hopscotch together using bean bags.

Our learning has been themed around ‘flowers’ we see in Spring.🌼 We have been baking, painting,🎨 planting 🌺 hanging baskets, watering our Spring garden area in the Forest 🌳 garden and have enjoyed malleable play with soil, spades, flower pots, small world bugs and flowers.

For St.Patrick’s Day 🇮🇪 we enjoyed Irish dancing 💃🏻 to music and created lovely rainbow 🌈 craft. For Eid, 🌙 we listened to traditional music, enjoyed sand play with hidden visuals about Eid, created special celebration cards for our families and enjoyed a sensory light and music show of night time skies with different colour patterns and stars.⭐️

We finished our two weeks with a fun Red Nose Day decorating biscuits, dancing to ‘Hey Duggee’ music, going on a Duggee hunt and some malleable play with rice. 🔴

Our Foresters 🌳 and Lift Off to Language groups have continued their programmes creating clay creatures, 🐞 listened to and interacted with sound stories and finished this week with an animal tap box game and awarding of certificates. 🐻🎉
